Thank you for saying she has pecs... virtually everyone who has arms/shoulders has pecs!!

10 :-) When I travel I always seem to lose a day... I have a friend on my list who today reached 1685!!!! Incredible commitment! Edited for spelling error

I just got home from spending 2 weeks in Texas (well, 11 days in TX and 3 more days away as pre/post travel days.) I stayed out with my brother, but we ate out on a daily basis. I made sensible choices when we ate out, and had some treats too. I made sure his fridge had items I usually eat and fresh fruits too! I tried to…

Usually Double stuffed Oreo cookies, although sometimes the butter shortbread cookies with sprinkles on them.

WOW, had no idea... but when I log 'walking the dog' I actually take all 4 (which is why traffic matters!) I actually use the other walking 3 mph designation when they actually do not go with me... but that is rare. Edited because I posted too soon

Sure!

And what if the woman is on top and doing most of the work??? LOL! Thanks for the info, since some people seem to think walking to the mail box a mile round trip is useless!!
-
LOL!!! I saw this earlier on FB and thought it was so cute... and SO true!!

Your argument doesn't make sense. Prior to the 18 days I was gone in July (including July 4th weekend) I LOGGED EVERYTHING minus the very rare day since I joined. Why do you care??? At 5' 4" I am 128.7 lbs and pleased that is where I am. And how are the times I logged my walk greatly inflated?? Are you my neighbor? If so,…

Ideal time??? The time you will do it. You can lose weight by counting calories only. So physical movement/exercise is both good for the heart and the mind... plus can allow you to eat more depending on the method you use to count.

Wow, evidently you didn't view the entire month, because there were 3 walks recorded (the 2nd, 5th and the 14th)... not to mention many 700+ BodyMedia adjustments. Since I was out of town for a total of 18 days of the month (this includes going out of town for July 4th weekend) not too damn bad!!

I was on vacation for 2 weeks... and yes, I really didn't bother to log. And it didn't hurt me either.

Thank you. I have had a failed back surgery and many times walking is what I can do. So that is what I do. On good days I do Zumba. And was meticulous with my counting until I went on vacation for 2 weeks, and ate out almost every day (mostly making sensible food choices)... but also walked 2 miles a day. I lost 3.5 lbs...…

I believe MFP counts it as 64 cal at 3mph and 74 cal at 4 mph. So net you pretty are likely pretty close. I do not eat back the calories unless I do Zumba or something like that. I have not had a problem with weight loss, but before I went on vacation (past 2 weeks) I weighed everything.
-
Oh, since when I weighed yesterday I was 128.7 lbs, I don't believe it is hurting my progress at all!!
-
It is a mile round-trip to my mail box and depending on traffic I do it in 15-20 min. You better believe I count it.

Bite, slap, date & marry.

Well, I suppose there 'might' be some energy expenditure if you are driving a stick... maybe enough for a couple tic tac's or a lifesaver!
-
Weighed in yesterday, down 1.1 lbs to put me at 132.2 lbs!!! 7.2 pounds to goal, YAY!! 7.8 lost during challenge (unless I miraculously lose something more in the next couple days.

Well hell, why don't I fall into the 'speeding' category??? WHAH!!       Think I can use this as an excuse next time I am pulled over??? How about with the judge??

I fell into ENTP, although interesting that my 'E' was favored by 1% and so was my 'T', so the test said I should review INFP as well... Edited because I didn't get my letters straight!

The standard where I worked was 3 months. But many places have very inexpensive rates for 'patient directed labs.' My previous hospital had an arrangement where you could walk in and request a lipid panel for $15 (must be fasting for 14 hours.) Check to see if this is available to you, or at some of the drugstores that…

Oh yes, as I previously mentioned in another post, I have 3 JRT's (2 purebred, 1 JRT/Doxie) and they go nuts when the cottontails and jack rabbits are in the yard, or the ground squirrels are in the yard. I recently started doing agility with my female (she is almost 2) and she has taken to it like a fish to water! Within…

My father had three, but only one at a time. Fascinating dogs, and yes, very intelligent. Had no idea about the 'pack attack' issue, although in retrospect that doesn't surprise me given their use in Africa. I would love to have one in the future, but right now is not really a good time.

The last hospital I worked at would frequently feed their patients biscuits and sausage gravy AND 3 slices of bacon, some canned fruit or juice and coffee/tea for breakfast, even to the patients on a 'Healthy Heart' diet. Mortifying! Generally the dietary staff is not adequately trained in proper nutrition. Frequently…

The best advice is to go to a department store where you can try a couple on and see how they work with your particular body chemistry. Smell a few, and then apply your two favorites (one to each wrist). Walk around the mall for a while, at least 30 min, and then smell them. You can even ask a sales associate to help you…

If you want an easy conversion reference, depending on type of pasta: http://www.kraftrecipes.com/cooking-tips/foodbasics/pastaguide/pasta-measuring-chart.aspx

2 oz is typically 1 cup cooked pasta. So at 6 oz, you ate 3/4 of a serving.

Ok... my fav dogs have been a Rottie, German shepherd, Doberman, and I have had a wonderful lab who came into my life as a middle-aged lady. I cannot imagine a household without a large-breed dog, and a Jack Russell Terrier... or without a dog in general. My last German shepherd died about a month ago, at 13. Her photo is…

A Basenji. Short hair, hypoallergenic, 25-35 lbs, but strong, loyal and does not bark.
