AWESOME job! Great dedication :) I had to check this. I started at 229 and exactly 1 year later, I was 168!
-
I had a similar approach/experience. And I totally agree with Jester as well

I started out eating around 2000 calories per day and lost but it's true that as you lose weight your TDEE will go down slooooowly. Near the end of my weight loss, I was averaging around 1700/day. Now my *maintenance* calories are around 2000. Do you weigh/measure your food? That would be my first tip, if you aren't…

I agree! And now that you have all that practice getting the plates off, you definitely need to keep at it  Seriously though, it took me a while to feel comfortable over there. So I understand.

My hubby is always stealing my diet cokes, and he doesn't even like diet!

IMO, yes, that's a myth. It's true that while you lose weight, you will lose some muscle along with the fat. The reason lifting weights while losing weight is not a waste of time is that it prevents muscle loss while losing weight  My advice would be to lift weights. It sounds like you enjoy it, and it will make it…

http://www.nerdfitness.com/blog/2011/04/25/do-a-pull-up/ I like that link ^ Chin ups and pull ups are a big goal of mine too
-
I understand. I have hip bursitis and it screws up my training sometimes. I'm good right now though for squats and DLs  even if I can't lift as heavy as I'd like

Teresa?
-
very well executed then :drinker:
-
that's what I thought too. I'll take the croissant, cheese, and avocado  ETA I did not guess dandelion greens though lol
-
No reason not to eat it every day
-
Thanks blondageh! great job--awesome progress! starting at 5 lb dumbbells is great-- as long as you move on up, which you did  My arms were about 17.25 inch circumference when I started
-
My arms were pretty big. I don't have any great "befores" of them. Now there is still a bit more fat on my arms than I'd like, but overall I love my arms now and excess skin isn't an issue at all. Good luck

I have waaaaaaay too many pictures that I love, and most of them with my kids in them  but here's a recent pic of myself I like.
-
When I was 16, I moved in with my grandparents. I've lived on my own/with roommates/with my boyfriend/husband since 18
-
In for friendly games of grabass!!!
-
I log my weight every day but I also turn off the auto update so my friends don't have to see my weight fluctuations every other day
-
I do a lot of food prep on Sundays and Wednesdays and it helps me A LOT.
-
Just make it 60 servings, and then it's only 92 calories
-
Eggs and bacon  Oh yea, with green beans and mushrooms, can't leave them out
-
I lost at about 1700 calories when I was overweight. I'm older than you and more sedentary so it makes sense that you would lose on 1900.
-
lol of course

It has nothing to do with what she's eating. It could be any number of things. Genetics (not every one stores body fat the same, ya know), weight loss (I know you say it wasn't that but seriously, how could you tell? even if you had also oggled her thighs, arms, back, etc, why would you assume that you'd see signs…

Almost everything. I don't weigh liquids like milk, though, I use measuring spoons/cups for that. I measure the food I take to work. Nuts, peanut butter, chips, ice cream, cereal, meat, fruit, veggies, protein powder, butter, sugar, cheese, sauces (ketchup, sour cream, dressing)....
-
Congratulations! I had to go check out your blog  I hit my goal weight in November, so I've been maintaining successfully for....almost 9 months!
-
Yes I drink about 20 oz/day of diet coke and it hasn't hindered my weight loss
-
I love popcorn! I buy the big bags of kernels and pop them in the microwave in a micropopper but I know some people just pop it in paper bags.
-
Great job you 2!

I mostly only care about my weekly goal. Some days I'm way over but other days I'm under and it evens out
