I don't think anyone "likes" to do this. I bite my nails and my cuticles really badly. It's a terrible habit that hurts my work life and my ability to meet women (it's not an attractive or confident habit) It's mostly a nervous thing that becomes completely second nature to you and you end up not even realizing you're…

Motivation is a personal thing and really differs by person. For me I find it harder to go to the gym than to find the motivation to work out at home (just because it takes little for me to start a workout but actually making a trip to the gym is prohibitive). I however have a consistent lapse issue that I'm trying to…

It's hard to say exactly as calories burned vary by sex, weight and age but each insanity workout if done at a high intensity is supposed to burn about 1000 calories.

@Euroboss. If you don't have anything constructive to say then just keep it to yourself. Throwing out demonstrative comments about people not having the dedication or knowledge is neither helpful nor particular kind of you. You know nothing about the people you're insulting. A) Dedication isn't my problem B) If I had the…

It will somewhat slow your weight loss in that you're building muscle while losing fat. However you will still lose weight.

You lost an inch in a week. If you did that every week you'd be in great shape

I don't consistently run a caloric deficit. I might have that happen 1-2 days per week when my golf days and workouts are on the same day. The rest of the days I stay right around the 1600 cal intake myfitness recommends for me. I can also tell when I'm really not getting enough to fuel my body because I will get very…

@castlerobber I didn't say that I wanted to increase my fiber per say, I just know that by the accepted standards I don't get much of it. As someone earlier suggested I do eat high fiber whole wheat or 12 grain bread but I don't eat much bread (usually 2 slices a day) My breakfast is usually a protein shake so I'm not…

It's a program I read about in Men's Fitness. Each set is one exercise for a different muscle group. Chest, biceps, shoulders, triceps. So in essence you are giving rest to each muscle group between, you're working a different muscle group in that time. In a way it's similar to what your p90x and insanity programs are…

Thanks everyone. I'll start with that and get into the site a little more. Then I'll get into the forums and go from there.

I am using free weights. I rotate exercises from one to the other with no rest. So I did seven sets (random number I know) rotating exercises without rest the entire time. I was winded and sweating my *kitten* off. I'm trying to use these tools but if they're so far off idk how to go about it.

I was using the exercise calculator on this site. I did about 30 mins weights circuit style and played a round of golf carrying the bag (both the calculator on this site and the one that my golf gps uses put that around 1300+ cals which seems excessive to me) I am still trying to get a hold of my diet. Some days I'm good…

oats in protein shake? Ive never heard of that before. I have protein shakes for breakfast often (I'm not a morning person) so I'll have to try that.

@kchernandez19 - The biggest problem I have with this is I have an ever changing schedule. I might be off and have to work or I might think I'm working 8 hours and end up working 14. I try to make a plan but it seems like I can never stick to it. @musicgal86 - That's what I've been doing, bringing lunches. I end up eating…
