This is so good. And it applies to ALL THINGS not just diet! Haha! But it really is a process of trial and error to find what works best or "optimal" for your body. I'm finding my groove after 2 1/2 months :) The direction and counsel on this forum is so good. Use it as your start and tweak things along the way.

The reason I doubt it's Keto flu is that I'm very familiar with this feeling and knew exactly what brought it on (lack of sleep). I don't really suffer any Keto flu symptoms. I drink a TON of water and when I was adding too much sodium to my diet, noticed that I actually started retaining water. Bouillon a couple times a…

I didnt check in at all last week  Gettin back to basics. 8/15 carbs - under calories - under water - over exercise - no logging - yes upset stomach today so way under calories. But I'm sure my appetite will make up for that soon!

I've tried the ginger chews for motion sickness and they just aren't quite strong enough. I use full on drugs - Meclizine - and double the dosage. I wonder if the ginger would be strong enough though since I'm not in a car. Thanks @RunRachelleRun I'll give it a try.

I read the title as "Dear God, the FOOLS I am falling in love with" and clicked in all ready to read the juicy details  Oh well, I did find a few things to put on my grocery list though.

@Bonny132 that has been my method today. I'm drinking a lot of water and had some diet soda to try to settle things down (another treatment from my youth). Maybe I'll just skip eating altogether today and call it my IF day :)

The queasy type. I get motion sickness VERY easily. Other things (bad sleep, too much sun) affect me in that same queasy, car sick feeling. I didn't sleep well last night and woke up feeling a little off but not bad. It wasn't until AFTER I had some ACV in water that I began feeling nauseous. It's tapered down some but…

I love exercise too and find my body does better when I'm active. But I agree with the others that you've gone up and down so many times, you'll find it harder and harder each time you try to lose. My numbers are similar to yours.. 5'8" and 208CW. I've lost a significant amount of weight two times in my life and notice how…

i'm kinda the opposite too. Interact with people A LOT during the week and am usually too busy outside the home on the weekends to even log onto MFP. (do most of my forum reading at work  shhhh..) But on the flip side, find myself mostly reading the forums and not interacting a lot and suspect that most people on…

This happened to me too. My weight starting creeping up and I could feel the squishy water in my legs and ankles. I used broth for the sodium but have almost completely cut that out with no repercussions. I may drink some if I start getting a headache or feel sluggish. I do still take 1 tsp of mag each night. @anewlifeat40

That's awesome! I've been a singer for decades but as I get older the strength in my voice has lessened and the break has just been too hard to control. Haven't sung in a few years. May have to start exercising those vocal chords again

Same here... tolerance is very low. Wine (my favorite) is much harder on me than hard liquor. I'll go for the vodka & diet soda now. After a couple glasses of wine, I don't remember anything the next day.

For the past two days I've worn two different pair of jeans that used to cut into my waist so bad I'd have red marks and muffin top galore! My slim jeans with flowy high low top and strappy sandals are looking pretty cute today for this 45 year old

Yay! congratulations & here's to a quick recovery!!

thank you @KnitOrMiss :)

Same question.... I don't get cramps but do get terrible heartburn since starting and was told maybe this was the cause? How do we know?

What is this?

Awesome! Congratulations! My little black dress is calling my name! I think maybe 15 lbs or so I should give it a try

i LOVE my activity tracker. Mine is the Garmin vivosmart. Tracks my steps, calories burned, heart rate, sleep patterns and a lot more. Everything automatically shares to MFP. I've only been using mine since the beginning of this year but plan to use for a long long time.

SW: 224 CW: 208 GW: 180 for 8/4 calories - under carbs - under water - 100oz exercise - yes logging - yes my family is bailing on me. They say this is too hard :(

This is me too. I've given away the fat clothes before and then regained the weight. Then I feel even worse when my weight is up because I have nothing to wear and all my clothes are so tight and uncomfortable. I think I've found my secret this time though. It doesn't seem like LCHF will be hard to sustain forever. It's…

I'm 46 and notice that my body does not like to let go of weight unless I exercise at least a little each day. I can eat at a significant deficit but without movement of my body I don't see much movement on the scale. Even a 30 min walk during my lunch break makes a difference.

I've always been overweight and have always been super self conscious. My mom is a cute little 5'2" thing that loses weight by stopping soda. I definitely got my dad's genes with my tall-ish (5'8") and big boned frame. I birthed 4 amazing children fairly easily though so that's a plus. I've lost weight the hard way before…

Thank you, thank you, thank you! I've been burning more calories lately and appetite has been uncharacteristically low. MFP wants to scold me and I admit I get a little nervous (ok, a lot) but now will just enjoy this season of low appetite and let my body feast on my stores of fat!

Been getting up at 4:00am daily to get some exercise in before work. Then our late morning temperatures here in Nor Cal were so lovely this morning that I went for a 30 min walk during my lunchtime. Then after I got home from work a girlfriend called and asked me to try out a Zumba class at our gym. Ok! Let's go!! Yay for…

Just spent 10 days with my "skinny" side of the family. It was no problem at all turning down every treat and treasure imaginable. They kept commenting on what great will power I have (I don't). Just no cravings. Also, I was the only one NOT on medications.

I use the Mio water enhancers sometimes. I try not to overdo it cuz I don't want to trigger the sweet cravings. But they are zero carb.
