M / 29 / 178lbs / 25-30 / 15 I focus on form and control while doing pullups. No swinging, and proper muscle use. None of that swinging/kipping nonsense.

I went from just over 200 pounds (I think 204 was my peak) down to the high 140's ala nothing but cardio, Insanity, and P90X. Since then I've been working on stacking on pound after pound of muscle. I just hit 180lbs the other day!

I did two rounds of P90X and one of Insanity. I was also bombarded by their group adverts. I never joined however. Got fantastic results without it. ;)

I would avoid anything that separates the bar from your skin. Although, I've not done any research on the sting ray.

Yeah. If you have marks on your neck the bar is too high. It should sit on the lower part of your traps.

The "***** pad" is frowned upon because of what it does with bar positioning and balance. It's much better to start very light and get adjusted to the weight without a pad. Eventually you'll develop your traps enough to form a 'shelf' for the bar to rest.

Since my divorce a year ago I find that the best results (for me, anyway) is to simply ask the person if they'd like to go on a date. I've gotten far more "no thank you" responses than I'd care for, but I'd rather as and be rejected (or she has a boyfriend already) than never ask and not know.
