Just finished Game of Thrones and it was really good, then I watched the first season on HBO and they did a really good job! That hardly ever happens so yay HBO! Coming up next? Little House in the Big Woods- Laura Ingals Wilder, Bossy Pants Tina Fey, and the next Game of Thrones Book. Oh yeah and I have another…

I kinda like turkey bacon but it's not BACON. I think they should have named it breakfast strips or turkey crisps. haha But if I am really wanting bacon only the pork stuff will fix the craving. :D

I was just thinking - I live in an area where people (not everyone, but it's not uncommon during the HOT months) grocery shop, go to McD's, etc in their bikinis. The OP must not live anywhere near me or she would be scratching her eyes out all year.

I enjoyed the movie. I like the idea that your body will heal itself if you can just get out of the way. This was true for him because of the kind of lifestyle he used to live, not sure that his approach would be appropriate for the average person, or that he would not have had the same results with a good clean diet. I…

I wear a bikini when I am not flying, or exercising in the pool or hiking on the beach. I don't see a problem with people posting bikini pics - better than potty shots in a bathroom.

-phew- Just finished 'Extremely Loud and Incredibly Close.' I enjoyed that the author gave the book a unique rhythm. I felt stressed through the whole book, but it is the first 9/11 story I have let myself read. I won't be watching the movie.

It was black beans.

You are fighting with your self in your own head. I do it too. Had the same conversation with my hubby over choco (he refused to hide it). I challenge you to: A. Congratulate yourself for fighting for you! There may have been a time that you would have just given in, or maybe with just a sigh. B. Remember what all happened…

I dunno if it is right or not but I usually keep things till they start to visibly show their age. I know celery can be reperked up by placing it in really cold water for a bit. You can also start a 'soup bag' in your freezer. When you have a vege that is on the edge and you know you won;t get a chance to eat it chop it up…

Haha I love it! ^^^ Someone told me the oatmeal had as much calories and junk as a snickers bar :noway: I would say it's not the end of the world to have it occasionally, just called it what it is a treat. At home I make plain oatmeal for my kids and put a light sprinkle of brown sugar or pancake syrup on the top, I like…

I have a book titled 'Midwives' about half done and I squeaked in another Sookie/trublood book over the last 2 days. .' World war z', 'Game of thrones', 'extremely loud and incredibly close' are sitting on my table.

I finished Snow Flower and the Secret Fan yesterday. It was a great book about women, a secret women's language in China, etc. I have kissed my daughter an extra 30 times since I started the book :)

This book is so damn WEIRD!!!
-
Yeah, but I figure if it's good enough for them to remember the book and then want to post about it that it's worth looking up. That's the best thing about libraries - if you hate the book, no real harm done :)
-
I think that has been my favorite thread that I have started :) Thanks everybody  I am waiting for the Hubs to bring me Snow Flower and the Secret Fan.

This thread has been a lot of fun so far! I wrote down everything that sounded good but could only get some at the library (yay for free books) Here is my smokin' hot library list: World War Z : an oral history of the zombie war / Max Brooks. A game of thrones / George R.R. Martin. Extremely loud & incredibly close /…

Awww, Marc Sommers was the best! I would rather watch that show.

any books? or do you have to meet a list?
-
Oh yeah Water for Elephants was a lot of fun to read! I almost forgot Everything She Ever Wanted by Ann Rule - I read so many of her books so fast I can't remember the other names though!!
-
I read 'Lucky' too. I recently read "A Secret Rage" by Charlaine Harris and it had a similar intensity to it.
-
Very cool Jim! I will move you to towards the top of the list. I am a nookie girl but I'll let that kindle comment slide ;)

I think I am the only one who didn't love girl with the dragon tatoo! The story was good but the female character was soooo over the top to me. and the names gave me a eyetwitch. lol The lovely Bones was an AWESOME book - I read it with one hand over my face. lol The Hunger Games has been promised to be in my hand soon…
