i know you can't lose weight in one specific area, but doing crunches always helps my stomach to shrink a bit temporarily.

i gave up snacking after 9pm for lent. it's easier to have that 100% no, i cannot have anything than to have the possibility of having anything. i usually don't have dinner till 8 anyway, so i have that and then i'm done for the night. if i'm hungry, i'll have a class of water or two.

I am going to let Thanksgiving day be what it is but, with that said, I'm going to make sure I'm working out each day that week and, once Thanksgiving day is over, I'll be back on my diet plan and NOT indulging in all the leftovers.

this. the nutritional values in each are completely different. i love quinoa mixed with a ton of different veggies. i love pasta, too (although I don't eat it much these days), but i just don't love cous cous.

my advice is patience, patience, patience and just knowing that if you keep doing the right things for you body, you'll eventually see the results. there is no other option. i didn't start seeing a decent change on the scale or my body until about week 4. i can say within a week or two my clothes felt a tad looser.

veggie burger topped with avocado slices

i get the tall skinny pumpkin spice which comes out to be 200 calories, so it's still a treat. i was just there today and saw an ad for the tall skinny peppermint mocha being 110 calories, so i may try that next time!

I'm in! I try to hit the gym in the am before work, then go for a 25-30 min walk at lunch, and once I'm home, I try to be a little more active getting things done at home instead of just laying on the couch. The last part doesn't happen every day, but I'm becoming more mindful about it. I'm down 4, so if I could lost 6-10…

Mine is open to my MFP friends, which include my BFF, BF and two coworkers. this really keeps me accountable. i do like to get new meal ideas from their journals.

I'm in!

i do more of a "cheat meal" and it's not like i go all out and eat a whole pizza and carton of ice cream, but more like i will allow myself to have a smaller portion of a creamy pasta dish or two slices of pizza, while still making sure that i exercise that day and keep my other meals healthy.

i love barre classes! do you have any prior injuries that could be causing you pain?
-
i want to do laser hair removal on my legs.
-
i just try to make sure i work out on weekends (and actually that's when i have time for a longer workout = more calories burned) and try to have healthy breakfasts and lunches and then have a little bit of a splurge for dinner (and i try to keep that to just one dinner splurge, if possible).

Initial goal is 145 - then i'll re-evaluate how I feel.

Going through the same thing... I've been tracking for a few weeks (very accurate, i have a food scale, etc.) and working out and have only seen a 2lb loss. I do think I see small changes in my stomach, butt and legs though (been doing a lot of cardio). I used to eat so badly and not really work out consistently at all, so…

veggie burger on ww sandwich thin and popchips, then had an apple 2 hours later

i'm a night snacker too. now, i'm just (a) not keeping it in the house, and (b) hanging a photo of my goal in the kitchen.
-
definitely starbucks drinks - the hot cocoa has 460 calories - more calories than most of my meals these days. also, the banana bread has 490. i don't know why i thought it wasn't so bad for you (i've made banana bread and know the amount of butter and sugar that goes into it).
-
i would have to say Biel as well!
-
all good ideas! i like 90 cal special k bars, fruits - clementines, pears, plums, apple, orange, etc., hummus, carrots, greek yogurt, granola (but keep it to a minimum b/c that stuff adds up), graze snack box, and most of all herbal TEA!
-
Same - but it's important. Try greek yogurt with fruit mixed in (since you love fruits so much). I love greek yogurt so much i could eat it twice a day.
-
having one slice of pizza or one french fry doesn't work for me. i can't keep that stuff in the house. distract yourself by going and doing something active and then really ask yourself if you want to waste all the work you just did on that starchy food. drink a large class of water.

I do Barre 3 and MFP estimates that at 421 calories for 60 minutes for me. It sounds similar - but not sure if yours is more cardio intense?
