Good job and congratulations! I used to be a runner in a former life. Hoping to get back there someday.

Hi, I'm fairly new to MFP but making great progress. I'm working out daily on the hamster wheel at the gym and it's working. Just dedicate yourself. You'll make it!

Nope I'm usually the one getting punched! I've never punched anybody famous but a few years ago I was walking through a bar/club in LA and somebody backed into me which pushed me into this woman. She turned around and smacked me pretty good. She was the girl Jackie something or other. She was in the movie Alfie and on a…

Hi, I'm new as well but things are going good. I don't do karate but I liked the movie! I am living a healhty lifestyle though. I am on the hamster wheel at the gym daily! Welcome though!!

I think I'm severely limiting my calorie intake so I can understand both sides. Just congratulate him and move on. He obviously felt the drastic measures were needed. It's certainly not sustainable long term but just wish him the best and move on.

When I stopped looking around and realized there was nobody else to blame it started clicking for me. Nobody is nobody going to help take the weight off. Just takes one foot in front of the other. You can do it.

I feel for you. I still combat the urges to sneak off for fast food. I used to eat what I called a pre dinner. Leaving work, hitting som fast food, then going home to have dinner. Logging everything and being accountable to myself has really helped me. Results will be reason enough to avoid that behavior. You'll make it!

About a couple weeks before my last check up I started with the organic ACV. I take about a shot glass full and wash it down with a glass of water. It does work. Most of the bad numbers on the blood work improved. I've read much about it and it seems to be a miracle worker. Granted the stuff must have been created by the…

Planning and more planning is the key for me. I have to have the right foods in the house at the right time. Stock up on lean protein, avoid carbs, take vitamins and eat clean. I have also been taking a little organic apple cider vinegar. This stuff must have been created by the devil because it tastes like a dirty dish…

I used to be the king of the lazy people. I spent thousands of dollars on TV's and entertainment devices. I could sit for hours and hours and accomplish nothing. Fast forward a few years and a few doctors appointments with one in particular where I was told I was fat. I now don't seem to have enough time to sit for even 5…

Be strong and take care of #1. No man can save you. Finding independence can be very liberating. Do not worry about what happens with this guy or any guy. Take the time to put the work in that makes you feel good about yourself. I once defined myself by my relationships with other people and it didn't make me very happy.…

Protein is the key. Being tired seems to a common subject and I seem to be a member of that club. Black coffee might help!

I've lost 17 pounds in 2 weeks. It's possible with lots of cardio, low carb, and calorie counting. Go for it!

I take meds twice a day and have been for about 6 months. I've had this problem for years but finally brought it up with my doctor. I haven't noticed weight gain due to them but if I hit the buffet I definitely will gain a ton. The meds seems to weaken over time but will discuss this at next appointment. The breaking point…

I'm Type 2 and have been for about 5 years. While not always preventable you can manage it to the point where meds are not even needed sometimes. I know in my case this is true. With weight loss and exercise I am starting to turn the table on it. It's no fun and I've watched it take my mom to the brink of death a few…

I actually bought Insanity but didn't even make it through the first minute. One of my goals is to finish it but it'll have to wait. I wish you luck and stay strong!

Right now the treadmill is working for me. It's not running but the speed is getting there. I always set the incline to 1.0 and alternate speeds every 5 minutes to keep it interesting. I haven't found anything other than cardio that shredds the weight fastest. The weight is coming off.

I tried the C25K last year and ran into the same issues. Hit many problems after the first few weeks. I did not go much further than week 4 because I was too over weight and the injuries were killing me. I really feel that I should have established better fitness before starting it. If you're sticking to it(good job) do…

Sounds like a plan. I like a good challenge. Thanks.

Someday I'll get to the maintenance part of this journey. You look great and yet another way to motivate me.

Agreed that simple is the way to go. I tried NutriSystem and a little bit of everything. I like being accountable to myself and others on MFP. All I'm doing is cutting calories, eating low carb, and daily cardio of at least 45 minutes. Yes I know what sounds simple isn't. I'm sore, hungry, and crave anything and…

I'm such an idiot. I thought I was eating low carb until I decided to check the back of the frozen corn package in my freezer. That explains so much!
-
I've tried all the miracles out there and they all seem to be about how to avoid putting the work in. My miracle is knowing that when I'm drenched in sweat I had a good day.
-
The struggles will make you stronger. I also want to lose 100 and I'll make it. Stay accountable to yourself. The social aspect of MFP will help(hoping for the same).
-
Amazing and inspirational! Thank you for sharing. This is the most crooked journey I've ever been on.
-
I'm about as new as they come here but I'm finally wise enough to be accountable to myself. Hoping a few friends will keep me motivated. I've quit every diet I've ever been on thus explaining why I'm here again. So far I'm doing good but we'll see how it is going in a week!
-
Hoping to finally do what I always say I'll do. Every season I say I'm going to get serious while it's on. Every season I fail. Here's to being positive! I'll be tuning in tonight.

I never ever ever even once saw my parents exercise. Not even a walk. Meals were red meat based with a side of carbs. We never ate out back then but the meals at home were probably worse. Most weeks there was a glass cake holder with a chocolate cake in it. Dinners often were huge with extended family always around.…

I'm sick of being sick. The sand I buried myself in did have its comfort though.

I sit at a desk all day everyday and it's horrible. Breakfast for me is egg beaters that I nuke at the office. Lunch is usually deli meat and string cheese with grapes. Snack is a banana. Suffice it to say I'm starving all day and all I can think about is a hamburger! Will I ever stop thinking about eating the bad foods?
