Made a big pot of broccoli/potato/cauliflower/quinoa/flax seed/cheese (light on the cheese) soup on Sunday and am eating that. It was wonderful the first few days but am kind of sick of it now.

I miss the travel, friendships and the belief that what I was doing had real purpose and meaning in the world. I don't miss the 'hurry up and wait' nor the 'rank has it's privileges' mentality - even though I find they apply in the civilian world as well. Also, thank you to all who served.

I also live in a dry climate - Arizona - and I have been having the same problems. My doc thinks it's alllergies. I'm a pretty decent hiker but the last few months I've had to slow down due to not being able to catch my breath.
