And no one has ever told me I look like Holly Hunter before but thanks! Such a great compliment!!

It is! I love grey. It's my favorite neutral :)

I didn't eat all my exercise calories back - only half. And I always left a cushion of calories at the end of the day because I didn't measure my food. That way I had a better chance of staying at my goal!

Thanks everyone! I went to the dr in October so it basically took me 6 months. I focused way more on diet than exercise - eating healthier with smaller portions. And I've been walking/jogging as long as the weather is nice!!

Daggummit! I tried half a dozen ways and can't straighten it out. Blah I am no good at this! Sorry folks :grumble:

My husband is a professional chef. So of course, he cooks amazing food and usually at odd hours because of his work schedule. Take last night for example - at 9pm he was in the kitchen making gyros. Yummy, but not what I want to eat right before bed! So when he said "I left one in the kitchen for you" I said thanks and…

Sodas were the first to go - cold turkey. Only drinking water now and if I am craving flavor I add a Propel Zero. Then I started eating breakfast and watching my lunches. I work at a place where food is available all the time - pretty much anything I want. Fried chicken and mashed potatoes had to go! Then I started…

My nephew had surgery for Chiari when he was 9 years old. He rocks the same scar you do :) Congrats on the wonderful job!

Oh man I wish I could sew! I have a lot of clothes that I love and am sad they don't fit anymore. I mean I'm happy with the weight loss...you know what I mean!! I'd love to be able to tailor stuff myself! ETA: I can't type.

Thanks all! It's so nice to be able to come here and have people understand what I'm going through!!!

I lean to the OCD side so I log everything. Every sauce, every bite, every Lifesaver (10 cals apiece in case you cared!). I would just rather be able to see everything than think over what I could be missing.

I'm doing C25k and good songs keep me going!

Putting on clothes that have been in the back of my closet is almost a better victory to me than watching the numbers on the scale drop. People can tell how much better you feel when you are confident in your clothes! Awesome job!

My very first goal was to get in to the healthy BMI category. It took me losing 19 pounds to get there. Then I was like, well if I can lose 19, I can lose 25. Then if I can lose 25, I can lose 30, then 40 and now I am shooting for a target weight. Once I hit 130 I want to maintain between 130 and 135 and work on toning my…

I weigh everyday. Some days it goes down, some days it doesn't move, and some days it goes up. But as long as I see a downward trend on my progress graph, I ignore the few spikes. I also know that a week before my TOM it's going to go up a few pounds. I've come to expect it and it always goes back down! Good luck!

Bump!

Slow and steady wins the race!

For the most part - me. When I started out in October I was all gung-ho to workout and I was doing Jillian Michael's dvds and walking a lot. Then the weather got crappy and I got lazy. I maybe work out twice a week and even those workouts now are not what they were when I started this journey. I do plan to start up again…

I am in love with the Fiber One cinnamon cake squares. They're not really cheating because they're 90 calories and 20% of your daily fiber but they TASTE like you're cheating. For some reason, psychologically, that works for me!

Love this! I am so much happier celebrating these little things than the number on the scale. With my weigh in yesterday I have officially lost 20% of my body weight and am down 2 pants sizes! I would never have thought it possible 6 months ago and I am almost teary typing this. So proud of everyone!

Thanks everyone! I guess as long as I keep up with my bananas and greek yogurt I won't worry too pmuch about it :)

I don't wear a HRM so I only eat back a portion - usually 1/3 to 1/2. I feel like that gives me a cushion in case it's overestimating my calories burned with exercise.

I am so glad that I found this thread. I thought maybe it was all in my head! I literally gasped when she came out and woke up my poor sleeping husband. I said how sick she looked and he watched for a bit and said she looked awful too. She looked beautiful at the end on the ranch, said she was at a size 6 in makeover week.…

I went to my dr for a basic appointment and when she took my blood pressure she was in shock. She said it was so high I was in stroke territory. That was it for me! At 32 years old I didn't want to be dependent on blood pressure meds for the rest of my life. She gave me 90 days to make lifestyle changes and see if it went…

My coworker's son had cystic fibrosis. He had an awful time gaining weight. They told him to put maple syrup on anything he could stand it on and eat as much peanut butter as he could. Like, if you wake up in the middle of the night, eat a scoop or two of peanut butter. Good luck to your husband!

This is totally how I felt going in to all this! I am completely amazed at the amount of food I can eat, stay on a low calorie diet and still lose weight! Edited because my spelling was awful :)

Bump!!

That is awesome!! Now I'm looking forward to that too!

I'm in a comfortable 10 now, down from a 12 (a few 14s) when I started. I would love to get into an 8 but I'm not sure how they'll work lengthwise (I'm 5'6"). I don't hate being a 10 but I still have some weight to lose before I get to my goal so we'll see! Oh, and I want to not hate myself in a bathing suit. That's almost…

Amazing!!! A total inspiration :)
