That IS disturbing! The lie of the fashion and advertising industry is truly exposed in that pic! That's what's called slavery , not to mention anorexia. Poor girl! She doesn't even "get it" as to how much of a pawn she is. I hope she gets the treatment she needs before her body gives out. Maybe this will help us all to…

I've fasted for religious reasons also, but I recently came across info from a friend I met on here about a book called Eat Stop Eat, which gives details about how fasting is good for the body, how it affects the body and about fasting's benefits. Here's a link to read more about it :…

I use cucumbers and slice them into chips and eat that with salsa or homemade avocado dip. Gives ya the crunch but not all the salt and calories from regular tortilla chips!

I think it's harder with those closest to you, b/c you think they'd be naturally supportive, but instead they do the opposite. I tend to think it's a combo of them acting out fearfully b/c they don't want things (you) to change and upset the balance or what they perceive as balance to life, the fact that you changing tugs…

Today I tried my chicken with cayenne pepper and curry. It turned out really good. Need to get more spices and experiment with all new tastes!

Awesome and inspiring success story! II can be done! : ) I started out as a size 16 also and want to get down to a size 6. Sometimes it seems daunting, especially when I plateau, as I'm doing right now. Very frustrating, but it's a good obstacle to learn to bust through. Keeping track of food and exercise on here is a big…

Wow, that's scary and frustrating! Is there a dog park nearby or walking trails nearby that you can get some exercise at? That would probably give you more peace of mind, rather than having to worry about being confronted by an off-leash animal while you're out trying to enjoy the outdoors. Glad you and your dog are ok!…

I've been drinking water when I feel really hungry; like 3-4 glasses. Sometimes it's your body telling you you're dehydrated but it expresses it by urging you to eat instead of drink. I'll still have a snack after the glasses of water, like an apple or cottage cheese with celery though. That combined with the water usually…

Usually I go walking everyday for at least 30 minutes, most of the time it's 60 minutes in the mornings. And lately I've been doing an exercise regimen from a Navy Seals book that lasts for 30 days, and you do various callistenics and strength training exercises. It's simple to follow and rotates working on different…

Make guacamole dip or salsa and use cucumber slices as chips instead of salty tortilla chips.

Love your post! Men don't get enough praise for the things they do right. Way to be grateful and positive!

My sister recently did the HCG diet and lost 26 lbs in 26 days. It's a really strict diet of only 500 calories, which is where the HcG drops come in. They stop you from feeling hungry on such a limited caloric intact. There's also an enzyme you are to take with it that helps activate the HcG better too. She said to make…

I was just reading in a magazine about the benefits of nuts. One of the suggestions was to replace chicken in salads with 100 grams of cashews. I often eat spinach lettuce with chicken. I tried it with cashews instead and it was REALLY good! Very filling.

Don't worry the frequent peeing is normal! Just like a previous post said, it's getting rid of the salt that you're body is retaining. I now really watch labels for how much sodium everything has. It's pretty astounding. I'm also learning to cook regularly with spices! Something you may want to try is drinking hot green…
