hey girls, sorry for having been so absent. I am sick and was alone with the kids, everything went under and I also have to work nonetheless and full time, because my colleagues are both in vacation (luckily I work from home). So my last week was super busy and I am just tired and sick-ish.

wow, ladies, well done! I was super busy these days. My kids have holidays and are home, so not much time for posting here. Anyway I got some walks in (doing Leslie walks and watching vampire diaries, haha) and went swimming yesterday with the kids :-) Have to check my numbers and get them posted later. @coopsoopc sorry to…

Bandit good to hear/read that your dad is getting better! @zichab haha, yes. My family is around 200km away (my side), my husbands side more than 1300km - he is italian. But that gives us a nice play to go to in summer ;-) and flights are cheap so he can visit them regularly. But I think if there are grandchildren it's way…

Zichab wow, that´s kinda decadent :-D On the other hand also needed I guess. It´s not super clean everywhere, but it is nice. Maybe I am also just used to it :-) I live in Hamburg, which is a beautiful city. You should check it out, when you go to the netherlands the next time to visit your granddaughter, errrrrr and son…

Zichab, meh, that really sucks, especially when there's a problem with the car! Oh my. I am lucky, I have lots of stores within a 1,5km radius and we move next year, there it will even be better, store across the street! Your son is close to me, haha. I live in germany :-)

following it :-) Great read and very cool what you´re doing. I totally get the weird mindset, I am also struggeling with that all the time :-) I think you are on a very good way (I kind of did a reset over the summer, not intentionally though. I was just fed up with alle the counting etc. So I just let it go. I ate more,…

You are all doing great! Very cool :-) I feel better today, my back only hurts a tiny bit, but I am still pretty sore. This morning I went grocery shopping by bike - it was not even 4km both ways - and I was huffing and puffing, because my legs/quads were killing me :-) The way also was a bit up and down and I had to go to…

Yes, it´s a bit better thank you :-) Although I am not sure, I can train tomorrow, or should. I will see. I also tried push-ups on my knees, but I hate the feeling, dunno. It´s really uncomfortable. When I did 5x5 the first time, I was able to do a couple of real push-ups after a while, but yeah, that´s gone...The meanest…

Just in case you don´t win it, I saw that there´s also a streaming version of it for 10 bucks less: http://store.walkathome.com/product/miracle-miles?product_id=1000-01 I am just not sure, if it´s so much different when you already have other DVDs? But I guess that is something some of the pros here can answer :-)
-
@AnnofB and Zichab thank you for your kind words :-) My back is better today, we put balm on it and I barely got 1000 steps in yesterday, but I just couldn´t walk. Today I can walk slowly without pain and had the thought of "maybe I could try a DVD?!" Nope, just trying to walk a bit faster to the living room had me…

erm, didn´t post my stats the last couple of days: went from the 6th until friday evening without measuring, so I leave these days out. Over the weekend I did 9,1km, so I am 25,1/80km I went back to fitbit, because the zip was offered for 39€ and the functions there are enough for me. Also I quite like the software and the…

Oh, forgot to mention: I twisted my back/hip in my second to last move (barbell row). Dayum.
-
That sounds like a good plan, when is the appointment?

So, finished my first workout in like forever (around a year I might say). Squats 66lbs (30kg) 5x5 (and I had to fight for these, damn) push-ups 5x5 (I cannot do that many real push-ups, so I do them, like Nia Shanks suggests for beginners, against a cabinet and will go lower eventually) barbell row 44lbs (20kg) 5x5 plus…

Hey gals, haven't been training in a while. Will you take me back? I was off track and started just focusing on my food first. I tend to want it all and ending up being overwhelmed and doing nothing :-D Anyway, my planned schedule is mo, wed, fr. So I will check in with numbers tomorrow. Since I train at home and don't own…

lost my one this summer, but got me a zip now. https://www.fitbit.com/user/2485SJ

@zichab thank you for taking the time to explain so thouroughly! I will check it out! Sounds very good :-)

October 5th: 3.6km 16.6/80 @zichab are you pleased with your vivofit? I am currently using my husbands polar loop and although I like some things about it very much I don´t find it very accurate regarding daily activity and calorie burn, plus I miss the connection to mfp

Polar loop tracked: october 3rd: 6km october 4th 4km 13/80 done

First time/try here. And a bit late :-) Anyway, my goal is 20km/week = 80km/months. I rather start "slowly" and see where it leads me. Today I did 3km

Hey, feel free to add me to (also the others here :-) ). Most friends in my timeline already made it, which is great of course. I can learn a lot from them. But some people with similar goals for accountability would be great! Want to lose also around 30 pounds. Cheers, neon

when I asked a trainer in my gym about deadlifts, he looked at me funny (like haha, girly, where did you even hear that word) and asked why I want to know that/why I wanted to do these. Erm...duh! But when I told him I want to do them he showed me. He didn´t make me feel like asking him more with his attitude.

I am in. Feel free to add me anyone :-)
-
Thank you :-) There are more in amazon I have to check if I could run them in my computer. I have an old mac mini on my TV, so that might work.
-
Oh, cool! Thank you :-)

the thread is kinda old, but since I did my first workout today and wanted to talk about it, but not open a new thread...well..yeah. I really liked it, usually I am not a workout dvd kinda girl. I always feel either awkward or can´t follow or want to die after 10 minutes (30 days shred), but this is easy to follow and…

another newbie :-) It´s a bit hard to get the dvds in germany. So I will start with the youtube video. Right now I am walking outside, but it´s getting colder, grey-ish and dark early (winter is coming!), so I wanted an alternative. Looks like I found it :-)
-
I was thinking the same. Then you were able to adjust your calories to your daily burn.

LOL, what can I say, it´s boring at home and not really challenging. My biceps is way less interesting :-D The thing that I like more about training at home is the time saving I have. On the other hand I already work from home - I really need to get out more - even if there are creeps...
-
My most important goal is to get back on track and getting back to my numbers from last year (japp, didn´t do much in a while, so I hope being more active in this group again helps :-) )
