I foolishly set through the video, and cannot remember what the five were. Then I kicked myself for wasting my time. It is basically just a long video advertisement of some sort. I should know better. Everything in moderation, and it's all good. That's my two cents.

LOL - It is a compliment, but conveyed rudely!

This is the advice I got when I started. Problem was that I could not do a single push up. I'd get into position, begin to lower myself, and BAM, my arms would give out and I'd hit the floor. No matter how hard I tried, I could not do one. And never felt like my effort would ultimately have me succeed at doing one. I read…

That's one pound for the WIN column. Congrats on a successful week, even if you don't see it that way. I have lost over 30 lbs, and have done it averaging about .6 to .8 lb. loss per week. Losing slow makes losing easier. No deprivation. No starvation. It is all good.

I read that the girly ones only use some of the same muscles as standard. The tip that helped me go from ZERO to 21 (over time) was to start by doing standard push ups against a wall (hands on the wall, standing up with feet positioned about two feet or so from the wall). Then, start doing them w/ my hands on the kitchen…

The answer is always to start right away. Waiting just makes time to come up w/ excuses. Good luck on your journey.

OH MY GOSH! I too find that I don't really crave sweets by baking them. I actually lose weight (even when not monitoring calories) during "cookie season." I thought I was alone. Thanks for sharing!

I log as I go. However, if I have an actual plan for dinner, I will enter the dinner early in the day as a way to reserve the calories for that dinner, and not go (too much) over my net calorie goal. If I don't do it that way, I often find I don't really have enough calories left to have a full serving of dinner.…

b/c of macro nazis. plus, i dont know why anyone would be interested in my diary. it is not very exciting.

Macros. Carbs. Protein. Fat. Pfft. I'm a calorie watcher. That's it. Maybe I'll feel differently re maintenance, but for weight loss, it is all about net calories for me. Sometimes they're good healthy calories. Sometimes they're delicious cookies and cream shake calories. Whatever. It is working for me. Losing…

I can only comment on the time of day issue. Someone said that calories don't know what time it is, and I agree.

1100 calories??? Yeah, I have an idea. Eat whatever you feel like eating and enjoy! :drinker:

IF you're going to weigh yourself (yeah, you don't have to throw out the scale. sheesh!), do it only once a week (or less often then that). Much like a science experiment, try to be sure all conditions are the same when you weigh yourself -- like time of day, what you're wearing (nekkid is best), etc. (I even make sure the…

Though I can workout on an empty stomach (1st thing, a.m.), I find I prefer to workout about 1/2 hr. to an hour after my breakfast -- usually cereal. Then after my workout, I love to have a heaping tsp. of peanut butter (so heaping, it may be more than 1/2 Tbs.). I actually crave it after a workout.

First, congrats on meeting your goal. That's awesome. Then, good luck w/ your new goal. I bet you will have to problem, now that you're a pro!

Honestly? Two things. 1. Being allowed more calories to eat motivates me to do cardio. 2. Posing in the mirror, flexing muscles I'd never been able to see before, and loving that look, and visualizing where I"m going (now that I believe it is possible to get there), motivates me to strength train. Thanks for posing the…

I realize that this is not the issue here, but I just can't figure out why men have to "walk around naked" in the locker room.

On average, I have been losing .6 lb. per week. it adds up, and i feel i can keep this up because I do not feel hungry or deprived. I feel this weight loss, because of the slow and steady, will be permanent. :)

Track calories whether or not eating clean.

OMG! So glad I'm not alone! I told my mother that I could hear ants marching in my pillow. And I believe this. I would look inside my pillowcase and under the pillow, fully expecting to see ants marching single file. LOL Thanks for bringing back the memory.

Wow. He does not trust you. I would wonder whether he can be trusted. Do what you have to for yourself. Sounds like his problem is his. Don't own it for him. Good luck.

^^This.

Heck, forget the scale and forget the tape measure. Look in the mirror. Unless you have some body image issues, the mirror (or photos) will tell you whether you need to lose any more weight.

I've had this too, whether running or not. Weird. It seems to just go away. I think it is a nerve thing. I bet w/ running we tend to jar everything else, why not nerves. Kudos on picking up running again!

What a great idea! Thank you!

No calorie burn, but keeps me out of the fridge. I cannot eat and crochet or knit at the same time.

Kudos! That's terrific!

Why would you cut out something you enjoy? I'd say, do what I do, and fit such goodies into your daily calorie allowance. I have a couple of Hershey's Bliss milk chocolates every day. When I try to avoid this treat, I blow all my calories on trying to find something to take its place. Better that I just go ahead and have…

www.allrecipes.com has a recipe, BELIEVE IT OR NOT, for mock apple pie using black beans. I have not tried it yet, but if I can get 'apple pie' out of black beans, count me in! Got good reviews.

No biggie. Just start fresh, again. You'll be fine.
