Ah, so it is like a PS. Thanks so much.

I find that if I push myself hard every day, I end up needing a day or two off as a break. Otherwise, I crash and burn and it could be MONTHS before I get it together again. Now, my schedule is M,W,F cardio; Tu. Th., strength training. Weekends off -- or exercise that is NOT on purpose (unscheduled, maybe walking, maybe…

I've also seen ETA (context is usually like you would use a PS in a letter). What is ETA?? Thanks.

I had this problem when I was running. I was a beginner and I was only running 5K tops, and slow. I was injured before I was ever able to resolve the issue, so I never got past beginner. In any event, I did find that a little something in my stomach (granola, dry toast, something) made it better. I didn't feel the strong…

^^This.

I just watch calories in and out, trying to get close to my net goal ea. day. While I'm at it, I try to get most -- certainly not all -- of my calories from reasonably healthy food. And I don't mean I sit here eating carots and beans all day.
-
Sheesh! Relax! Give it a week or two before freaking out. If you're meeting your net calorie goal ea. day, I'm sure you have nothing to worry about.

No preference of genre, but while working out, I prefer something angry (ie, Rage Against the Machine).
-
Sounds silly.

Sorry. You do have to learn to say 'no' and live w/ temptation. There will always be circumstances you cannot control. If you move out -- esp. when not actually ready (I am assuming, btw) -- you will be able to control much of your surroundings. But, then you have friends, and other relationships, and you cannot control…

Hoorah!!!! That's awesome!

I don't know if you're supposed to be hungry, but I can tell you that often I am famished. But not always. There does not seem to be a reason; none that I can see. Hope this is reassuring.

I have Hershey's milk choc. kisses or bliss every day. Every day. Every day. But then again, I'm not concerned over carbs or fat. I just stay w/in my cal. goal, and try to make most of those calories good ones.
-
^Same.
-
I have said, without anger, that I appreciate their support and encouragement, but do not want to be policed. Followed by, Don't worry, I really do know what I'm doing.

Works for me. I have a couple of Hershey's Kisses or Hershey's Bliss Milk Chocolates every day. Keeps me from eating every sweet and/or salty crunchy thing in sight, while trying to fix a craving. I just allow it, and track it. It really does work for me. :)

^^Agree! Calorie deficit. Doesn't matter whether it is reducing your calorie intake (diet), increasing your calorie burn (exercise), or a combination of both. You CAN lose weight exercising like crazy and eating nothing but junk, BUT it is EASIER (and more practical) to do so by combining diet and exercise, and it is…

There is a fantastic and stupid-easy recipe on www.allrecipes.com called Salsa Chicken. You can go to the site for details, but off the top of my head it is 1) sprinkle taco seasoning on 3-4 chicken breast, flip them over onto a lightly greesed (PAM is fine) baking dish, and sprinkle the other side 2) cover with salsa…

^^ Same here.

I question this whole 'starvation mode' thing. I would think you'd at least have to FEEL like you're starving (which is a far cry from feeling hungry because it is time for you to eat) before this 'starvation mode' would kick in. And, you're losing on 1500. That's great. I am looking forward to maintenance, during which…

Are you NOT healthy? Besides weight, any other health issues?? If weight is your only concern, just do the best you can -- that is, eat what you like, but try to choose healthy food over junk food. And, stay within your calorie goal. I wouldn't worry about cramming down fruits or veggies. Take vitamins to supplement…

I agree that it is not sustainable, but it may good a jump start.

No worries. If you're going to weigh yourself every day, you have to accept the ups along w/ the downs. At least you KNOW that when it goes up during your period, it is NOT because of gaining any fat.

Super inspirational!!! WTG! Thanks for sharing.

Not me. If I could, I would hire a sky writer to print it up in the sky for all to see. I am not a very private person. Also, I love the encouragement and support I get. The few who don't care or are actually unsupportive, I ignore. Otherwise, I shout it from every mountain top!!!

^^ I was wondering the same thing.

Welcome! My simple tip is to keep things simple. - Make small changes, one at a time - Don't worry about these 'macros' everyone talks about. Just eat more healthy food than you do junky food. - Give up NOTHING that you enjoy. Too hard to stick w/ it if you cannot have treats. Just stay close to your daily calorie goal.…

So Awesome!! Congrats!
-
Nope. NO time limit. I just try to leave a calorie cushion (by doing extra cardio) for evening snacks, esp. if getting together w/ friends.

OP - What a great idea! This was so fun! Bump (hopefully, there are plenty more!)
