My impression is that if you don't have A LOT to lose, you lose more like .5 - 1.0 per week w/ the ocassional 1.5. I'm in that boat. And, it is okay w/ me, because I want this to be permanent. I do cardio for 45 min. on Mon., Wed. & Fri.; strength train on Tues. & Thurs. The main reason I do ANY cardio is to earn more calories. I love my evening snacking, and am not about to give it up. I doubt that the entire second half of your journey will be difficult. You may have some difficult stretches here and there, but all in all, I think you'll be okay. You already (clearly) know what you need to do. Just do not let a slump or a slow down completely derail you. Just keep on keeping on. Good luck!!
