I did that once too, not realizing how high in calories chinese food can be. I want you to know that I did not try to balance out the week or anything like that. I just made a point to not go over my calorie goal for about a week, and made sure not to miss any exercise session I had planned. That one blunder, albiet huge,…

Take care of it. If you don't you'll stop exercising altogether due to pain. So you're benched for a few weeks. Make a commitment to get right back to it when DR says it is okay. In the meantime, workout whatever muscles you can. Good luck!

Oh sure. You're not alone in this. This is why I eat light most of the day, so that I have caloric room for my weakness in the evenings. Sometimes I'll snack on fruit or nuts. Three sets of a Total Body Circuit (part 2 of 2) workout on the Total Gym. Plank - hold for 60 sec. Six real pushups (could only do one good one when I started) Ten pushups using edge of tub. Feeling strong, and kind of proud. :happy:

Yep, treadmill can be boring. I MUST watch TV or a movie when I tm. Friend of mine uses treadmill to catch up on phone calls to friends and family. Thought that was a pretty good idea, except I hate the phone more than the treadmill. LOL

Not for me. If I only ate because I was hungry, I suppose diet pills would help. But I can eat quite happily and quite often w/o ever feeling a hunger pang.

I admit, I don't really know anything about this problem, but I'm sure I read somewhere that it tends to be a bigger problem for folks who 1) have a lot of weight to lose (define a lot, though), AND 2) if they lost that "lot of weight" very quickly. Running store. Not only to they know a little something about footwear for running (and often other activities), but most (if not all) of the folks there are runners themselves. You may not need to buy shoes there, but their advice is usually spot on. Good luck.
