What helped me is the idea that every day is a new day. I re-start every day, whether the previous day went well or not, with my daily calorie goal being re-set (in my case, at 1200). So, if my goal starts over every single day, so can my efforts. I'm not trying to "be good" every single day. But, every single day, I try…

Just read all the responses, and have come to the conclusion that eating later does not make you fat. However, NOT eating later makes you cranky and very defensive. lol

I just do not think that 4 lbs in a month sucks. So, congrats on your four pound loss!

You can add me. I'm 46 and only mildly supportive. ;)

Not an "artist," but creative. I knit and crochet. I also decorate cookies (which happent to be delicious, btw). Anyway, do these count?? :)

I am a secretary, and I discovered my hip bone(s) when I went to make copies and leaned forward against the machine. Ouch!

I am so sorry for your loss. Glad to know that you're taking the bull by the horns and affecting your own health in such a positive way. If I can offer any advice at all, it would be: Don't rush. Slow and steady will give you, more likely, permanent results. It is wonderful to be so motivated and serious about your…

WaWa French Vanilla coffee. I cannot remember how many calories, but I do recall being surprised that there were ANY calories in the coffee.

5'4", shooting for 130. Will know better once I get there whether I want to lose more or maintain. As to jean size, would love to be an 8 -- so long as the mirror agrees w/me.

Wow! Some of these are ridiculous. But I have to admit that many made me laugh. Unbelievable! I don't have any doozies, but frankly I don't care how someone acknowledges my weightloss. Just happy they noticed. Way better than, "So, when are you due?" People are just goofy.

That is terrific. Congrats on your success, and good luck w/ you continued efforts.

THanks for the chuckle!

Surely, it is just muscle build up. How does she feel? Do her clothes still fit? Do they fit better? Are they too big now?

OH yes! My weight, during a given week, can fluctuate w/in two pounds either way. My official weigh-in is only once per week, always on the same day, always at the same time of day, and always the SECOND thing I do in the morning. (First, I pee.)

HI. Need to see your diary in order to offer any advice. Im sure there is something that can be fixed. :)
-
If this is interfereing w/ your enjoyment of life, or affecting relationships, perhaps therapy is needed. Good luck.

I read something recently addressing this issue. I dont know if I buy the advice, but I'll pass it along anyway. Basically, what they said was to eat very little -- just a taste to start. When you can tollerate just a taste, add. The idea is to build up tollerance. I don't know. Might be worth a shot. This was from either…

You surely do not "stand out in a negative way." Keep up the good work! :drinker:

So awesome! And great advice. Don't wait. Go for it (whatever it is) now! Yay!

You are so right! The scale is not the be-all-end-all, but I am using the scale as a guide to see that I am making progress/staying on track from one week to the next when I am unable to feel a change in my clothes or see a change in the mirror. Seeing the numbers go down keeps me motivated, even when it is only a fraction…

Two c-sections here. Never got back to my fighting weight (figuratively speaking), so I don't know what my tummy will look like once I get there. So, I just consider it taking one for the team. I'll live w/ the jelly roll; no surgery. However, if all my exercise does cause the roll to shrink, I'll call it a BONUS.…

LOL I'm out too. I save calories just so I can afford to snack in the evening. So far, so good. Good luck everyone!

Wow! Congrats on your success!

How sweet. Thanks for posting! :flowerforyou:

I would suggest, at the very least, your largest or most satisfying meal for lunch, since it will be so long before dinner. Then by dinner time, you should be ready to eat, but not famished.

 I'm a coffee drinker. It is very hard for me to drink water, even though I like it just fine. My goal is to drink two glasses of water ea. day. Easer on my cardio days (M, W, F), as I will actually FEEL thirsty. But, if I can become consistent in getting two glasses down per day, then I'll move up to three or four.…
