I have to disagree. The human body is absolutely amazing, and it is capable of a great deal. 200 lbs as some sort of "checkpoint" for most women is not cool. I have none of the issues you mentioned, and I know plenty of women over 200lbs that don't either. It just chafes my bum a bit when people make gross generalizations…

YAHZ! I'm 228 and I always get 160-170!! I know my boobs throw people off (I'm a 36F) but the 50lbs swing is cray to me. Another reason why I'm shooting for around 175. I think if I get too small I'll look crazy!

This. I'm 5'7.5 and as an African American, I hate that BMI chart! How can they tell what ethnicity we are from our bones, but expect that all 5'8 women that are a certain age should weight the same!? Makes no sense. Wow. I'm a 14-16, 228, and 5'7. It's really amazing how different body shapes losing varying amounts of weight can change. I noticed one poster my height looks great at 142, but I haven't weighed that little since middle school! I want to get to 175, which is what some people are starting at! Crazy...

Bumping this up because this VERY TOPIC has been my struggle. I'm so tired of it! Stupid food addiction. Sometimes I feel like it wold be easier not to eat anything. (I know that's foolish and dangerous, but sometimes that's how I feel) I just want it to be over...

I feel your pain. I suggest that you go to the doctor and make sure you don't have any thyroid problems, or any precursors for heart disease or diabetes. That could affect how your body uses calories and how you burn. Also, if you have high muscle mass already, its harder for you to loss the fat. I had a trainer that told…

Yeah, I'm trying to be more accountable, so that means tracking on bad days too. I think that its a mind thing tho, like if you are only supposed to eat 1200 calories a day, you will almost always go over, because its hard to consume so little if you are being active.
