Thanks to everyoing for thier comments and insight. I guess it all boils down to, I need to try it and see how it works out for me and how I feel afterward. I think I will try doing the 30 Day Shred 3 days a week (two of those days being the days I don't go to the gym and then one other day as well). I will start there and…

I have already gone through The Shred once and am going back through it agan for the second time. I was told before I started the first time that Level 2 was by far the hardest level and they were SO RIGHT! To me, Level 3 was a peice of cake compared to Level 2, so hang in there bc it DOES get easier. I am a HUGE HUGE fan…

The general rule is that You should try to net no less than 1200 calories per day and Planning ahead can help you with this BUT if this was just one of those days when you didn't realize how much you were going to workout, I don't think one day is going to be a big deal. I like what someone said in an earlier posting, it's…

As long as it doesn't have caffeine or sugar I think it's ok to track it as water but I only personally track water as water and log everything else in the calorie counter area.

I totally agree. I don't have 2 1/2 hours a day to spend in the gym.

It apparently affects different people in different ways. After being on Atkins for a year, my very close friend lost a TON of weight. When she went to her annual check up her Cholesterol was off the charts and she had developed high blood pressure. She was told to get off the Atkins and within 6 months her blood pressure…

If you are working out first thing in the morning and didn't have a high protein/carb meal or snack the night before, I have read that it is best to have a small snack 30 mins to an hour prior to your work out. Otherwise your blood sugar levels are low from being without food all night and you likely won't have enough…

I log it as Calisthenics since that's pretty much what it is. I've seen people log it as the 30 Day Shred but I haven't figured out if they just added it on "My Exercise" or if they found something I didn't.

Wow! Amazing.......simply amazing! I am speechless.....the transformation is incredible, but more than that, the dedication that you have displayed to lose 225 lbs! Wow! What an inspiration you are to me! Thank you so much for posting this and the pics. Wow!

I know right?? LOL I almost didn't post it but it was too funny not to!

Absolutely LOVE the 30 Day Shred. I saw amazing results and changes in my body. While the workout is VERY hard during, you feel so accomplished afterward and after you cool down, even energetic. I would suggest you get some knee braces if you don't already have some. Level 1 is hard on the legs and there's a lot of jumping…

I am no expert on the proven health effects of Diet Soda, but I can tell you from my own personal experience that one per day doesn't cause me to binge (if that were the case, there would be other major underlying issues that needed to be addressed), it doesn't make me feel like if I cut calories there, then I can eat them…

That happened to me too but I think our bodys are reacting to such a drastic change in lifestyle. No worries, just keep it up and know that one day you'll wake up and will have lost a few lbs and it will gradually pick up from there. Hang in there and WTG!!!

First let me say how jealous I am. I am DYING to get to where I see that 1 in front of my weight too. Just a few more lbs and I'll be there. I am so excited and happy for you reaching One-derland and your half way mark. Thanks for posting this and inspiring the rest of us. This is way cool!

Does it tell you the type of weight training you need to do or do you have to already know what to do and just log your progress?

Not a stupid question just a hard concept to grasp. Yes you are supposed to eat all or most of the calories you burned but let me see if I can explain to where it makes sense. You need to first establish what your BMR is....how many calories you need to maintain if you laid in bed all day. MFP is set up to take all of your…

I love love love the 30 Day Shred and have recommended to ALL my friends and at least 10 have started doing it with me and love it as well. I've already been through the whole thing once and am now going back through it to try and do the more advances version where as before I was doing some of the modified exercises…

I am 5'5" and my Goal Weight is 150. I haven't been under 200 lbs in 11 years so I was afraid to set unrealistic goals in the beginning SO, with that said i reserve the right to change my goal weight once I get to 150!

I was taught that's how you are supposed to walk when I was in cheerleading a LOOOOONG time ago.....It just became habit but it's vey good for your posture and it also heps work your abs! I tried letting i just hang on our I cant do it and it looks BAD anyway LOL

I used to "splurge" on the weekends but not anymore bc my weight loss is so much better when I am consistent. I may not eat the greatest foods on the weekend but I always stick to my calorie goal. I am trying to do better on that and eat the very same way on weekends as I do on weekdays so that I can truly make this a…

I just turned 40 two days ago and I too am ready to be fabulous! I've been working at it hard since Jauary and have lost 40 lbs. I still have 52 lbs to go but I CAN and WILL do it and so will you! This is the year for fabulous forty year olds so let's keep it going!!!!

Just like with anything else your body wil eventually become used to walking and it will no longer really help you mcuh in your weight loss efforts. WIth that said, since you love to walk, can you increase your pace or maybe even jog a bit then walk a bit interchangably?? Changing up your work out routine is one of the…

I started really gettng serious back in January too and whle I still somewhat "crave" the junk food, candy, unhealthy treats, the few times I have indulged myself, it made me sick at my stomach. It also made me feel run down and lethargic. I don't like the way it makes me feel so while i still sometimes crave the taste,…

I struggle with this too bc I have to work out late evenings too bc there is no other time during the day that I can get it done. So it's late nights or not at all. In the beginning, I was just not eating my extra calories generated from the exercise and my weight loss plateaued even though I have a lot more weight to…
