If I was going to add calories to get th net calories back into line, I would add them back slowly over a week or two to give your metabolism a chance to realign and reduce the risk of gaining weight in the short term. Good luck.

I use it with Miso pretty routinely to make my veggie broth. Basically boil some broth friendly vegetables in around 6-8 cups of water, strain, add 2-4 tbsp of miso and around 1/3 cup of nutritional yeast.

If you have Netflix, you can search for workouts available by Instant Watch and save a lil cash.

I usually stop as soon as my body is starting to relax - usually around 100 bpm. That is usually no more than a minute or so after I stop working out.

Good luck on your journey.

Hi. Sending a request. It sounds like you are doing well so far on your fitness journey!

Basically an hour a day. Right now I am alternating walking one day and doing C25k the next.

http://www.coolrunning.com/engine/2/2_3/181.shtml I did Week 5 Day 1 today. I think my old dog is getting in better shape than me. During the first week she was dragging along behind me and I thought I would have to stop taking her. Now she is still wanting to pull forward at the end.

One thing I have heard is that the artificial sweeteners cause you to crave sweeter/higher calorie foods. Another thing I have heard is that the artificial sweeteners cause your body to think it is getting sugar and then when it doesn't it messes with your digestion. Either way, I know I have felt better when I have…

I like both brown or white rice topped with microwaved frozen veggies and ketchup. Mostly healthy, cheap, quick to prepare, and low cal.

There is probably some truth to it but if you are eating at maintenance calories or below then you are burning the sugar and it is not a big deal. I think everyone knows eating processed sugar to excess is bad. But I don't think cutting the fiber and nutrients from grains, fruits, and veg is a good idea.

Don't let this reflect on you. They want to downplay the effort it takes because they want to believe it is easy and they'll get around to it 'someday'. Or they want to believe it is not something they could do cause then they'd have to put effort in themselves or face the fact they are lazy. Don't worry about their…

Guess. Misjudging +/- 100-200 calories isn't going to derail your efforts. Maybe be careful for the next couple of days after to be on target and drink lots of water (food out is often way salty).

+1. This pretty much sums it up. +1 here also. This is a bit off topic, but anyone notice if you are watching a lot of commercial TV it is harder to stay on a diet? I think it is probably a survival instinct or something to want to eat when we see others eat and now we have a box where we can watch people eat 24/7

It's been tough but so far so good on 2/day workouts and hitting my calorie goals. How are your goals coming along?
-
So far so good. Yesterday I worked out twice and stayed under calories. Trying to do it again today.

I think just posting this gave me extra energy to do a bit of jogging this morning. Good luck everybody!

Level 2 19/30 done I finally feel like I did halfway decent at this level. I hope to get w/o 20 in tomorrow b4 I go on vacation for the weekend.
-
Level 2 18/30 - Done 280 cals Had to drop the weight on the last set of shoulder raises cause something is going on with my left shoulder. Hope it was just a cramp or something cause Jillian likes to work those shoulders.
-
Level 2 16/30 - Done Sleepy now. Good luck everybody.

+1 Also sometimes they will lose 5-6 lbs in a week and then CRY because it wasn't enough. It is just so disjointed from reality for most people.
-
Level 2 15/30 - Done Haven't posted in a while and haven't been as diligent as I would like but I am not giving up. Hopefully Jillian can help me take off a pound or two before I weigh in this week so I don't have to post a gain. :)

Level 2 11/30 Cals: 300 My heart rate definitely went up with the new level. Again with the shoulder raises/squats at the end tho! Other than that, I liked this level better than level 1 for some reason.
-
Level 1 10/30 - Done Cals: 230 My right shoulder was bugging me a bit on the end raises but otherwise ok. Level 2 coming soon, probably tomorrow.
-
Level 1 9/30 - Done Cals: 256 Only one more time at this level and then going up.
-
My dog runs and hides if I do any indoor workout more vigorous than yoga. I guess I stepped on her when I was dancing or something early on.
-
Level 1 8/30 I was off the Jillian wagon late last week but I am back now. I definitely feel like I am almost ready to try level 2. Good luck everybody.

Level 1 Day 6 Cals: 250 I almost skipped today b/c I had a real crappy day @ work and I didn't feel like I had any energy. In the end, I decided that wasn't a good enough excuse and worked out anyway. I am really glad I did. I actually feel a lot better. Also during the punches I had some good mental targets lol.
