I tend to be hungry the same times each day, so mealtimes are pretty routine. I am pretty consistent with my cal intake at each meal, and level of activity each day. This helps my routine, and hence meal planning.

I run periodically, usually tied to training for a race. Send me a request if you wish.

You absolutely can do it - no question! Training is important. Set a goal to finish; take a short walk, or jog a little, to get a sense of your pace. Enjoy the time with family. You'll feel good and have stories to talk about when you've finished.

You can do this! Agree with the others about remembering this post and using it later if you need a motivation refresher. Love your attitude and your goals. Virtual friends and MFP go far but often are not a substitute for an in-person friend or trainer. You probably have heard you are on a journey and this is a marathon. Set short term goals and celebrate your…

Motivation comes from many places. First from the person staring back at me in the mirror. I'm my toughest critic and need to be content, if not happy, with what I see - inside and out. My workout routine and physical fitness motivations also stem from wanting to set a good example for my sons, friends and coworkers. And I…

Congratulations on your accomplishment. And thanks for sharing the story!! Best of luck on the next phase of your journey and your new goals!

Good for you wanting to get back to running. I agree with the others - check with your doctor on what you should and shouldn't do.

Very, very proud of you! That's an awesome step to take, inprivate let alone in a public proclamation!! Good luck with this as some days will be challenging. But I know you will persevere! Way to go friend!

Hey PTR - I just started planks and was successful in adding it as a new exercise. Have you tried lately to add it?
