I'm debating about classes, but I'm also a FTM... I think the one I really want to take is the breastfeeding one, because everyone I've talked to so far says it's harder than it looks. I've already lined up a hospital tour in a few weeks with my hubby. I'm wondering if all the reading I'm doing will help because unless a…

I'm so sorry to hear about your twins, hotmomma0612... I'm glad you and your little girl are healthy though! :flowerforyou: My belly is growing bigger by the day, it seems. I have my 28 week appointment in two weeks... and also the dreaded glucose test. Crossing fingers that I pass! I've sorted all of the baby…

Hi! My niece is currently suffering from SPD with her pregnancy and it sounds awful! I am also 26 weeks along. Welcome aboard :flowerforyou:

Love your journey so far! I'm currently pregnant with my first child, and it's weird trying to maintain or gain when all I've ever done my whole life was one failed diet after the next. Your story gives me hope that I can lose the baby weight. I'm a fan of lifting weights myself!!! Congrats on how far you've made it…

YES! Stretching is the best way to describe it. It just gets annoying and it seems to be most problematic when I'm in a place where I can't sit or lay down, so I kinda just shift around and do weird bends to make myself feel better. I already started out as a bigger girl, and this sensation is something I kinda wasn't…

Thanks for the info on round ligament pain! That was my first guess as to what the pain was but the more I read about it the more confused I get. It says the round ligament pain originates in the groin area and follows the bikini line. I guess the only way to describe what I'm talking about is higher than that... like…

Yes! Thank you for starting this thread! I'm in learning mode now :glasses:

OMG... if there were a way to know that my husband would do this, screw a push present! I guess I need to have a convo with my hubby about what we think our roles are once the baby comes... otherwise I see myself getting upset or expecting he do things we hadn't discussed. I don't know about yall, but my husband is…

That's too funny... I designed and picked my own engagement ring to make it easier for him too. He also thinks having a healthy baby is the push present. I'm not going to press him for it because it won't mean anything if I feel like I forced him to get it for me.

I love that, @babyIansMom... something easy to yell! LOL This is my first, and I think my husband and I decided (this morning at 3AM - odd time to have this conversation) that her name will be Hannah Angelina. Both names were our grandma's first names... they were great people and loved by everyone. She's got a little bit…

I just wanted to say thank you to the ladies who shared their stories!!! It's very helpful for girls like me who are first time moms. I'm going to go in with an open mind because I can't say I've ever been in serious pain before in my life... I think an ankle sprain was the worst of it. All I know is if I'm not considered…

Not knocking the product because I have heard it does work for a lot of people, but I have pretty sensitive skin and Bio Oil gave me the worst rash and itch I'd ever had in my life. So far my existing stretch marks aren't budging yet, but I've been sticking to shea butter / vitamin e. I have nothing to lose! lol. I haven't…

After rescheduling from 2 weeks ago since baby didn't want to cooperate, we found out we're having a little girl today!!! I'm beyond ecstatic!

I have a hard time getting enough water intake too... This is my first child but because of bad lifestyle choices, I already have stretch marks. I'm just glad they're not getting worse!
-
I also noticed that simple carbs and starches (potatoes, specifically) give me the worst heart burn! Even when I had it before I got pregnant, I never took anything for it. I'm thankful Tums is still effective. Usually 2 tablets give me the relief I need, but there isn't a flavor of Tums out there that I actually like... I…

Oh my, that is horrible! I have my anatomy scan on Tuesday but I'll only be 18 weeks then... you haven't scared me but it's always good to be reminded that not every sonogram will be butterflies and rainbows. I'm glad things worked out for you @stephysd, and I hope you get answers soon, @superhelga.

Great job! Half-marathons make me tired just thinking about them - congrats! :flowerforyou:

I'm sorry you're disappointed... I'm just having my first so I think I'll be happy either way the dice lands, but I know my older sister badly wanted a boy. She had 4 girls, and just had her 5th a month ago... she finally got her boy. My mom had the same attitude toward my sister as your mom does to you, except my sister…

Thanks for all the responses... I feel much better, especially after my doctor didn't seem concerned. I've leveled off for my weight loss for now at 206 lbs, so I'll just eat healthier choices when I'm hungry. I've decided to let 206 lbs be the baseline for my pregnancy... although the doctor's scale is never close to my…

How fun! You're a lucky girl... I can't convince my husband to spend that $50 to find out sooner, so I'm sentenced to wait until Christmas Eve to find out the gender!
-
Had an appointment today for the 13 week check up, but won't have another ultrasound until 18 weeks (that's right, Christmas Eve!!!). Such a long time to wait to find out the gender!
-
Thank you both for the responses! I just felt alienated because on other pregnancy forums, topics like "how much have you gained so far?" pop up almost daily and I can't relate at all. Now I don't feel so alone. I have my appointment in two hours so I'll see what the OB thinks. I'm sure she won't be worried.…

Late to the party as usual... haha! Glad to see you ladies are still going strong and some are experiencing less symptoms than before. I'm anxiously awaiting my 13 week check up on Thursday... I just really want to confirm the heart beat, because I'm that paranoid person. My morning (all day...) sickness is letting up but…

Welcome to the group! :flowerforyou:

I've wondered what some things were... I thought I could feel a little something, nothing spectacular of course, just a little flutter when I lay down at night. I saw someone on the Baby Center website posted on the forum about potentially feeling their baby early on and it was like the entire board came crashing down…

Take some time to rest... this page will work itself out. Sending lots of good vibes your way!

I've been wondering the same thing too. It's hard enough for me to eat all the calories I'm supposed to in a day because I have severe food aversions...

Anything with milk... I'm fairly certain I'm lactose intolerant again. I was lactose intolerant as a baby and for much of my childhood but it seemed to go away as I became an adult for the most part. I'd go to the doctor and get tested for it, but all the tests include me ingesting high concentrations of lactose and…

I'm so glad you got to tell your grandma before she passed! We just missed being able to tell my husband's grandma by two weeks. I ended up telling my boss when I found out at 8 weeks because I felt like I owed him a reason for all my sick days. I figured if I was honest with him, he would understand where I was coming…
