Well, let's see if anyone is still peeking at this page. Opinion: if you have a cup of tea or coffee, which has to be made with a cup of water, does that count as a cup of water? I think it should, but then again it is not straight water anymore. Thoughts?

I am in the health office, which is connected to the main office where the treats usually are. I rarely go up there. It's easier to resist temptation if you don't see temptation! When do you measure out the cups? I think I could have based the servings differently, but I wasn't sure how and thought maybe the protein was the way to go. I used to spend my summers in Rockland County with my grandparents, but I'm pretty sure you are more upstate than that! I tend to joke that people who are from that far upstate are not from NY, they are from Canada!! ;) That's what you get from a Queens girl!

The only problem I had with this recipe is that it didn't give serving size, so when I entered it into the computer to get nutritional info I based it on 1 1/2 lbs of chicken being 24 oz, and a serving of chicken should be about 4 oz, so it makes 6 servings.

Learning how to not be critical of ourselves is one of the keys to helping ourselves. I think it is more helpful for me to think "I can do this" vs "I wouldn't have to do this again if I stuck with it last time". I'm trying - not always successful - but trying.

Don't worry about it kheinl, I have also had weeks where I was "a good girl" and the scale didn't budge. It happens - no worries - but seriously aggravating! You will get back on track, you'll see.

I always, always need a sweet after dinner. The meal doesn't feel done without it. So, yes, I made chicken tonight in a tasty marinade, but I will not complete my diary until after I have my Skinny Cow Salted Caramel ice cream bar!! And I don't feel bad because I have the calories left to do it, and it makes me feel done.

Getting down on the floor and getting back up totally counts for something! That's work! Don't worry Marekdds, we all have those days. If you can fight through it, even just a little, you will feel better.

Congratulations Chamblisk! That is wonderful. Core strength is so important. My own core strength is the pits, and the 30 day hiit workout I am doing throws some core stuff in there, and I am pathetic, but I figure by the end of the 30 days I will be much less so. Our baby steps really do pay off - way to go!

Thank you Lilyandree. Not only that, but there were 2 boxes of Krispy Kremes in the break room where I went to heat up my lunch and some were already cut into halves and fourths and I still didn't have it! It did feel good.

School secretary came in today to offer us cookies - they looked so yummy! When she asked do you want one I said yes, but I won't have one. So proud of myself. Of course I thought afterwards that I could have cut it in half or fourths, but I already had my snacks planned for the school day and that was not one of them!

Thanks ladies - I was leaning toward doing nothing about it too. Kheinl, definitely walk and do some light stretching. If you don't it will only be that much harder to start up again.
