I had posted something like this a while back but it's appropriate to bring it back; I do not apologize for fixing my health issues and I do not hesitate to say how I accomplished the weight loss. I did what was necessary in order to regain my health, am proud that I found a solution and the wisdom to make the decision.…

Great job. We eat out all the time and I have found it gets, easier and easier as time goes bye. The biggest hurdle was convincing the others at the table that I really didn't need the app, or salad, and that they should order normally. I am not on a "Diet" and am not uncomfortable with the nachos on the table. I actually…

You had some cookies and guess what? You still look great, you still have had all this success and you started the next day with a positive outlook. You are not the same person you once were and should not judge yourself as such. Enjoy the fair, enjoy the Holidays and treat each day as a new opportunity.

Steve never got over his failure that day..........

There are are three bariatric groups in MFP with good threads, this one is the smallest. Best thing you can do is join the other two and read some of the questions and answers. Will give you a good idea and help you see what questions you may need to ask.

See through the veil it is you can.....huuummmmm

Yes - the pile of leather belts! First you punch new holes so you don't have to spend more, then you realize it wraps half-way around the other side.

Hey Paul; I hope those tears are because you live in Indiana because you are making great progress towrads your goal of living a long life. That feeling of confindence will come as you build upon success. Own everything you do well and give yourself permission to take those victories out anytime you need them! Keep it…

It's interesting to see where everyone is on the "curve". You know Garber and Thaeda I can completely relate to your thought process. I'm 15 months out and have maintained 125 pounds of weight loss (give or take 5). That "give or take" is the struggle to reach a normal relationship with weight. I find that I am obsessive…

@Derek; It's not what they "thought" of you before it's what you "knew" about yourself before. Like all of us here you were unhealthy and overweight. In today's world recognozing the connection is very un PC and makes people uncomfortable. Most people are really happy for you and are trying to express that happiness. I…

Follow-up: I am allowing my self a weight range of plus/minus albs from 190. I was at 191 last Wednesday and over thanksgiving managed to lose 3 pounds. Back to 188. And that's with all the trimmings.

Great news Paul

Different flavors react differently for different people. I find that the Green Apple to be the best but I do get a bit of the chaukey feeling with the Orange and a bad chaukely feeling with the Fruit Punch. Trial and error.

Add speed to your game becasue power will decrease. You can maintain strength by keeping your protein up but there will be limits to how much mass you will maintain. In my case "big guy" positions are now left to others and I get to play the speed positions. Did not think that could every be possible.

@katematt = I also got the GNC card and you are correct. Great savings. Decided to juggle my diet abit and reintroduce the ISOPURE Zero Carbs to my daily. Heaing into teh Holiday Season I felt it would be smart to get back to basics.

This will be my 2nd Holiday Season post op, the first was two months out. I do not know you or what "eating triggers" you may be working on so forgive me if this response strays into a bad area but it does seem you are allowing these people to have power over you. At 6 months montsh out your family should have noticed a…

60-80 is minimum, more is better. I lived on Isopure Zero. 40oz of protein in a 20oz bottle. Pushed up protein and fluids. Flavors taste like a "Jolly Rancher". For the first few months I would sip through 2 a day. Since you are getting 60-80 most days I would try some flavors to find what you like and drink 1 per day.

As long as you are in a counseling group that helps you address whatever your triggers are you will do very well with WLS. For some the over eating is driven by emotional issues that if not addressed WILL sabotage. For quite a while after WLS you will not have any physical hunger so anything that drives you to eat must be…

"Do watever feels good, listen to your body and keep trying." You sound like you are on track, well done.

Keep going, you are on a roll.

I started at 311 and my GP felt anything below 220 would be a great success and 200 would be a stretch goal. The surgeon want 210. I am at 185 and stable. If you follow the plan, and exercise, your body will find it's normal level. Not the normal society wants us all to believe where everyone is perfect but a real normal,…

I had to wait 2 full weeks becasue the dam incision site decided to leak some serious pooled blood at the one week mark which is a mood killer. Remember there are other ways to "skin the cat" to help you reduce your stress. As a guy I would be wary of injuring my wife (if she was the patient) and would be a bit gun shy…

Great work! Had to adjust the contrast on my screen from the skin glare (lol) but great work!

Isopure Zero: 20oz bottle, 40g protein isolate. Lived on these for the first few moths, blew protein goals out of the park. Sipped two bottles per day - covered protein and fluids.
