I'm on a journey to lose 164 pounds. Though my wife has much less to lose, she has joined me counting calories burned and consumed and that has made my journey so much easier, but I could do it on my own if I had to AND SO CAN YOU! I'll be rooting for you.

It's a little harder to lose weight after 50, but it can be done! You have to diligently track all the calories you consume and burn. Walking is a great way to start your exercise program. I use an app on my phone (Endomondo) to track how far I walk and how many calories I burn, but you can also use a step counter like…

You will have other bad eating days, but keep in mind that a bad day now and then is normal. Make sure you log all your calories and exercise every day, good or bad.
