I usually rock my Ultimate Direction hydration vest with 1-3 16oz bottles for trail runs over 13mi. Or if it’s over 100f. I hate carrying it, but it’s a must in Vegas. Or you can set up a drop mid run with stuff to fuel up with.

My pr is 12lb during an ultra training run. Hello dehydration! I will say that post run I try to get back a good amount of it by re fueling. By that evening, I got back 8. My sweat rate is ridiculous though. Sometimes a little embarrassing at the gym when someone is on the Tm next to me, my sweat often flings from running…

Early Saturday morning run with friends today. Started on trail at 6am. I need to work on running earlier. It was difficult getting up haha. High mtns so much cooler temps than the Vegas valley. 36f which felt like January. I love it. The run was up and over a 10,000ft ridgeline and then back again. Ended with 12.2mi and…

@shanaber I haven't raced in a while. All this stuff is training on local trails in Vegas. I do have a high altitude half in August though. Tushars in UT. You want bad race photos.. #tbt to some tougher times. Today: 10.7mi recovery run in the death heat (102f). 1,158ft climb. Only saw one snake which was surprising. I was…

I forgot to log my runs yesterday lol. Hard morning mtn tempo with 1,000ft climb. New pr by over a minute on the 2.5mi climb. then recovery pace down. 5.5mi, 9:47/mi. Then in the evening, I met with friends for a run. Didn't know they were planning on HILL INTERVALS! Like I need more hills this week.... Did 4 of them kinda…

@7lenny7 Congrats man! That race looked awesome! Today: Nice recovery mtn run. Well 2 mtns. 10mi with 2,500ft of climb. Here's a pic of the climb up to the first one. 2kft in only 3.5mi. Last 1/2mi you gain 700ft! Hands and feet rock scrambling. So fun. 5/2: 5.4mi (6:52/mi), 4.1mi (9:04mi) 5/3: 5.5mi (8:46/mi) 1,050ft…

@Scott6255 Tushars (UT) is incredible. It’s difficult to race there because you constantly have to take pics haha. So Next month if I can nail the +5/wk, would have me going 310mi. (70, 75, 80, 85). We’ll see. Haven’t gone over 75 since 2011. But things sure are clicking last several months. Many double runs in my future…

Hey! I recently returned to posting on mfp. I sure didn't stop running during that time though! Currently in a building phase with some speed thrown in here and there. One local trail 5k next month and a high altitude half marathon (basically mtn ascent). It's called Tushars. Start elevation: 10.5k ft, top is 12.2k ft.…
