Feel free to add me 48 y/o, getting near to maintenance goal...for the last time this time

I joined back in January. The added content that you get for the price isn't really worth it, IMO. I love NerdFitness and their philosophy, but didn't really find any added benefit with the Academy. Steve's blog articles on the mental/emotional aspects of getting fit are EXCELLENT, but they're available on the non-fee site.

I really like GardenBurger's Malibu Burger and MorningStar Farms Chipotle Black Bean Burgers. They're thicker, juicier and a lot more flavorful than Boca

Sets of 30 or more reps are kind of in the silly range. Like what the other folks said you won't 'gain mass' accidentally. If you really new to strength training I would highly recommend this blog post over at Nerd Fitness http://www.nerdfitness.com/blog/2013/02/28/strength-training-101/

Preferably naked, but at most a towel if that's the culture at your gym. Wearing sweaty gym clothes in a sauna or steam room is just gross.

This is incorrect. Progesterone is secreted starting with ovulation to prepare the uterus for implantation of the fertilized egg. If there is a pregnancy, progesterone secretion continues. If the egg isn't fertilized, progesterone secretion drops off and the uterine lining sloughed off.

You would probably burn more calories if you were doing "snow angels" in bed with someone else rather than by yourself.

Great job!!! You look so much happier!

How active are you? How often do you work-out? Rough estimate if you hit the gym 3 times a week would be about 2750 cal for maintenance. If you kept to 2000 cal per day, you'd still lose about a pound and a half per week. Like everyone else said, eat more protein and veggies. More real food and less cereal and snack bars.…

Handful of nuts. An ounce of almonds is about 160 cal

I weigh myself everyday in the morning. Seeing the day to day fluctuation has helped take the numbers less seriously...some days up, some days down. As long as the overall trend is down, I'm happy

Hey, guys! I'm Tom. Just joined MFP a couple of months ago. Had been doing Weight Watchers for a while with good results, but looking for some new inspiration and motivation. Always like meeting new people and making new friends, so feel free to add me. Let's get the particulars out of the way... 1. Where were you born?…
