  • I was the same way. I was 114 lbs at 5'5" and even then wore a t-shirt over my swimsuits. I NEVER wore a shirt that didn't cover my stomach even when wearing a pair of jeans and my shorts were always on the long side. Man what I would do to have that body back LOL. I do believe we "at least most of us" see ourselves the…
  • I use either generic or quaker instant. I add honey to sweeten it and add almonds, walnuts or pecans for the "crunch".
  • I agree, I have a "smart" phone but I still prefer my mp3 podcasts over the apps for my droid. I do take my droid with me also but I only take it for the "my tracks" app to measure my time, distance and speed.
  • Just to add when you get there (of course decide what you MIGHT eat before you go if you can) ask the waitress if they have a menu with the nutritional information on it. Even if they don't have it on the regular menu a lot of restaurants have at least 1 with this information on it in the back.

  • Hello everyone! Just finished my week 2 day 2 for the C2 5K today and it went well. I lost a little over 2 lbs this week YAYYYY got another 30 to go before it's maintain and tone LOL. My boys have a t-ball game this afternoon and we are going to Sonic after that for dinner SOOO still on track for my calories but under for…
  • Just finished my week 2 day 2 since I didn't get to do it yesterday due to the weather. It went good and I finished all my jogs and wasn't as out of breath as usual so something must be working LOL. I am still slow at only 1.68 miles for the entire time BUT I am doing it and will worry about speed later! @ Cutiger81..as…
  • This happens to me on the treadmill also. My mother warned me my first time to sit on the treadmill to regain my equilibrium. Something about being on a moving object and not actually moving causes this. Also, my mother has COPD and ONLY walks at a slow pace and she also has this, so I don't think speed is the issue. Some…
  • I have the Nikon D5000 and LOVE it..you are going to love your new camera when you get it! As for this rude a** child, I may would have gone to jail but if it were 1 of mine I would have smacked their mouth. Not just for what they said but for simply being so RUDE to someone, especially an adult.
  • URGG My week 2 day 2 will have to wait until tomorrow. We are under tonarda watches/warnings from 10AM until midnight tonight..O I hate having to wait!
  • I also like the pure protein but I only use the Vanilla. I LOVE it with a scoop of powder, 1 banana, 1 cup water and 2 ice cubes..
  • Can I join? I am a SAHM of 3 children, a 7 year old DD and twin 3 year old DSs. When I started a few months ago I needed to lose 49 lbs..As of today I have 31 lbs more to go to reach my middle idea weight range of 125.
  • I don't use my droid phone but instead use my ipod..here is the link I got mine from http://www.nhs.uk/Tools/Pages/couch-5K-running-plan.aspx
  • I just completed my week 2 day 1. Went much better than I thought but I am assuming it was because it is only 75 here today with 35% humidity..so great day for a run! Looking forward to day week 2 day 2 on Friday (weather permitting).
  • My calves were also getting tight during my run. I found if I get on a step and lower and raise my heals to really stretch my calves before starting, picking my heals up higher during my jog, and constantly remind myself to relax the tighteness completely went away during my run yesterday. Maybe this will help you also.
  • I just finished my week 1 day 3. I was really worried about the heat and humidity out today (being in Alabama) but today was actually easier than the prior 2..can't wait until Tuesday to start week 2 (unless it's raining out). I am sweating like the devil but my legs and cardio held up really good today spite the humidity…
  • Honestly I don't think this is an issue of "forgive and forget". You can forgive someone and STILL not be friends with her. Just because you want to remove negative things (people included) from your life doesn't mean you don't forgive them, it just means you are doing what is best for YOU. It also doesn't mean you can't…
  • OMGoodness, I so feel for you, my mother is the exact same way, not only with my weight loss journey but with EVERY aspect of my life. For instance, I dropped out of high school my senior year and went directly to get my GED and finished my Bachelor in accounting. Whenever she says to anyone I have my degree she never…
  • Isn't it strange how we can change without even meaning too. I have also started making my own beans and I haven't done that in 10 years LOL. I was actually mad at wal-mart today because they were out of butter beans (lima)..
  • I agree it could potentially ruin his life, not just socially but also health wise, but I am not sure how I would respond to my child sitting at the table CRYING for more dinner and I don't think she should be judged on her decision. It's not like she was giving him sweets, she removed ALL of those from the house. He was…
  • My diary is open to the public but DON'T look at today LOL.
  • A friend of mine was told the same thing when her son was 6..now keep in mind he is BIG I would say borderline obese for his age. After trying it for about a week she caved because he would literally sit at the table and CRY for more food. Saying this, before I made a drastic change I would get a 2nd opinion. At age 4 they…
  • DH and I have been married over 10 years and are as different as night and day! He likes to stay home, work on his computer, go to bed AT dark and get up at daylight. I like to travel and "sight see" when on vacation and eat out and do things every weekend. BUT this works for us...Sometimes he goes with me on the weekends…
  • Isn't that the BEST feeling..I just bought a size 11 in juniors this week...I thought WHAT JUNIORS LOL.
  • Regardless of rather or not this is resolved now, it should have never came to this..My DH served in 3 foreign wars and I can't imagine how his "mind set" would have been affected while fighting if he also had to worry about his family at home surviving without food/money. This is one more stress our military doesn't need.…
  • The military should be the FIRST people to get paid..they risk their lives EVERY second of EVERY day for us! If it wasn't for them we wouldn't have a government so take away the politicians checks and give to the military..sorry this is a sore subject for me!
  • Grilled chicken breast and spread the guacamole on a wrap YUMMY! I also use it as topping for my hamburgers with a slice of tomatoe..or do like my kids and eat it out of the bowl with a spoon
  • I haven't really "changed" the way the family eats but I do make it a little healthier. Instead of cooking with whole milk I use 1% and instead of regular butter I use unsalted when I cook for them. Instead of chip dip I mix salsa and low fat sour cream for the kids and they LOVE wraps with guacamole or hummus. I sub their…
  • LMBO When I was in 1st grade if we put our elbows on the lunchroom table our teacher would simply come remove our tray and we didn't get to finish our lunch. Today that would be child abuse but even now at age 35 I NEVER put my elbows on the table.
  • LOVE this one too, we had to go get our switches off a wheeping willow tree..those switches wrap around your legs when they strike!
