I have tried spaghetti squash a few times and it has been awful every time. Any tips on making taste good? I am a real pasta lover, so it is NOT cutting it as a substitute when I just eat it with marinara or something. I just got one and put it in soup with acorn and butternut squash and that was good. But it was pureed…

Lunges while vacuuming around the house works. Try calf raises on the stairs too. Just the front of your foot on the bottom step with your heel hanging off and raise up onto the ball of your foot. Make sure to have a hand rail/wall for balance just in case.

Confidence, endorphins and a lot better blood flow going everywhere. Lack of proper circulation can be a problem for libido, so getting the blood pumping and clearing out plaque in the veins should have a positive effect.

I have chronic pain too. Today my neck/shoulder is so bad I can't move my head. I like the elliptical because it is a lot easier on my joints. Swimming and water aerobics are amazing too. I was the only lady in the class under 50, but it was a lot of fun. Stretching and yoga are always good, regular massages help me cope…

You can even work in a little exercise doing chores. Try doing lunges while vacuuming, do a squat every time you need to pick something up, do jumping jacks while waiting for the microwave, do leg lifts watching tv (if you ever get a chance to!) And during fun time with the kids do exercises with them if they are old…

I allow myself to eat what I want as long as I stay 'on budget' for the day. And I make sure I earn my treat before I eat it. Going on the treadmill/elliptical for an hour before having a nice dinner out for example. Don't eat a bunch of junk and tell yourself you'll work it off later, you might get tired, or have some…

I weigh in every Friday am before breakfast. I started the diet on a Friday, so I just check back once a week. I do my measurements once a month. And will I try to take a new pic once a month.

I log my cleaning as it is usually a multi-hour job that has me sweating and exhausted. I have all my settings to the most sedentary possible because I have a lot of pain and health problems and before starting MFP I really didn't get off the couch much at all. I am losing weight at a good rate or 1-2lbs a week. I also do…

I was always pretty, thin and curvy (read; a little busty and a decent butt with a tiny waist and thin-ish legs) as a teen, no more than 125 pounds ever, usually 115 or so. It wasn't until college that I packed on the weight and got to 200 lbs, and I'm only 5'2". No one I know from college had ever seen me thin, so when I…

My nutrition teacher once told me to look up the weight we wished to be (either bigger or smaller) and check out how many calories someone that weight should eat. If you eat that number of calories your body will gradually become that weight. SO eating the amount for your current weight won't make the scale budge much at…

I don't know if it is available in your area, but Second Harvest Food bank gives out truckloads of free produce in my area. You must call ahead and register, they will let you know when and where the next one is. You need ID and a bill or something with your name and current address. You have to get there at least an hour…

I know a girl (not well, an online pal) who exercises a lot regularly, and many days she eats about 500 cal, sometimes exercising to burn off even more than she eats. She has negative net calories sometimes. I don't think I've ever seen her eat more than 1300 calories, and even then she probably burned 900+ exercising. I…

The first time I lost a lot of weight I dropped 84 lbs, My skin was not loose, but no matter what i still had that little indent, reminding me of the "butt stomach" I had. Even at a rather small 116 lbs and a size 2 I always had a little pudge right there on my lower belly and that stuuuuupid line. I'm on try #2 to lose…

Another long reply, sorry :) Oh man this happened to me a few months ago. I was curvy when we started dating, and my bf said he never liked super thin girls. Over a few years I gained more weight, I was 200 lbs at my heaviest. I got really frustrated with the amount of pain and weakness I had, so I worked my butt off to…

I'd also say to watch your carbs and sugar. Make sure to drink at least 8 glasses of water, have plenty of fiber and protein, don't eat less than 1000 calories. Try to work in more cardio to burn calories and some strength training/weights to build lean muscle. Muscle will burn calories for you, even when you are resting.…

I like lots of games. The Zelda franchise, Almost anything Sims is an addiction, Old games like Dragon Warrior and FF1, Cute stuff like Kirby's Epic Yarn, and Star Wars The Old Republic. My bf got me to try swtor, he thought it would be cute for the lil lady to play at his computer since I'm more of a console gal. I was…

Cutting out salt would probably make you drop water weight just the same, and is free, and healthier.

Cutting out salt can help you drop water weight. Morton's makes a salt substitute that you can use at home. I make yummy soups from scratch with lots of veggies and lean protein and use the salt substitute with lots of herbs and spices. When I first did that I lost 10 lbs in a week. I also drank a LOT of water to flush all…

Cutting out salt is a great way to drop water weight quickly. Morton makes a salt substitute. I dropped 10 lbs of water weight in a week once I realized how much salt I had been eating! Also be sure to drink minimum 8 glasses of water a day. I also agree that you may not be eating enough.

Stash brand has many yummy teas. Their spiced chai and holiday chair are my faves. A packet of splenda or two and maybe a little skim milk. YUM! I have metal Contigo brand bottles that keep my tea warm/ice cold for hours and they don't spill. Perfect for taking with a workout.

You go girl! You can do it.

WOW! Almost the same. I'm just under 5'3", about 180 lbs (the pic is from a couple years ago when I had lost 84 lbs. Put most of it back on after a surgery) I'm hoping to get down to 120-130 before July so I can be cute on my birthday. I have lost a lot of weight before, so I know lots of good tips and recipes. I love to…

Switching up your exercise routine can help. make sure you drink a ton of water. Get plenty of sleep. People often experience plateaus for weeks or even months. Just keep being diligent. You may need to eat a few more calories, if you work your body too hard it thinks you are starving and will not lose weight. Try adding…

I hate working out, so I try to work more movement into my chores. I was cleaning the floor today, and with every push of the sweeper, I'd push onto one leg and kick the other one out behind me. Good glute workout. You could also do lunges while vacuuming for a hamstring workout. Scrub the floor with a brush/sponge by…

It might be PMDD, some birth control hormones can help regulate it. Talk to your doc about that option too. You're not alone, I have anxiety, and so do many women I know. I find Passion flower or other herbal relaxation tea and a hot lavender bath can help. When I have a manic-type anxiety cleaning the house or exercise…

You may need to do more strength building, muscle eats fat even while you are dormant. Don't be discouraged, many people hit a plateu for awhile, sometimes even for a couple months. Just keep your activity up, try new things with your work outs and keep eating right. Lean protein, lots of fiber and plenty of water.
