  • Hello Hatters, I hope you all enjoyed Easter. Husband and I returned home yesterday afternoon from a month long RV vacation. It was so good to get away from the everyday, get away from the cold and snow, and get some daily fresh air and sun. We stayed mostly in the Florida Keys and on Jekyll Island in Georgia. We enjoyed…
  • Just dropping by to say a quick hello. I have been too busy lately...too many balls in the air :-( But I am still here 'cause I will not quit :-))) Heading south in 6 days. Taking the RV from the top end of the I-81, I-77, I-26 and I-95 all the way down to the Keys. Got to escape this dreadful and never ending snow and…
  • I have a March Mantra thing going. Join me and repeat. I WILL NOT QUIT!!!! Oh, by the way, I am awesome too :-). heeheehee
  • Hello Hatters, How are you all doing? It is very quiet on the board. The last 2 weeks have been busy busy busy in my little world. I slipped and fell on ice the first week of Feb. I didn't break anything but it hurt like heck and I suspect I had deep tissue bruising. It took over a week for the ouch to leave me. I don't…
  • You guys are all so amazing. I am so proud of you! A week from today is my 60th b'day. I have mixed feelings about this lol. On the one hand, I am damn happy to say goodbye to my fifties, pardon the language. I will forever recall it as my " decas horribilus". It was a decade filled with tremendous stress, some joy, but…
  • Hey G, Your rants definitely aren't boring. Love your food prep, wish I was coming to your place for dinner. Sounds delish! Preparation IS the name of the game. I think we all fall into danger any time we haven't planned. I think between exercise and food and menu planning, I am spending upwards of 1.5 hrs/day on putting…
  • Huge congrats on your results and re-focus Snooozie! You are an incredible hatter!!!!
  • Hellooooo Hatters, Yes, I have been mia. After my most recent weigh-in, which secretly thrilled me to death, I was off to spend a long weekend at a hotel and arena. Yes, a recipe for disaster. I was pretty good as I brought raw veg and healthy-ish dip to snack on after hours in the hotel. They paired nicely with all the…
  • Excellent inspiration Snooozie. Thank you so much for kicking off 2014 with this wonderful message! My horoscope today reads: Take one last, lingering glance backwards -- and then walk away. You need to put the past behind you, and think about what's really, really important to you now. Does this resonate with you like it…
  • Well I have finished my year with a 2 lb gain. It's been a week of too many indulgences, too many glasses of wine, too few hours on the treadmill. Considering that I started my journey in November, I am proud of finishing my year with an overall 13 lb loss. My 60th b'day is 6 weeks away. My goal is to loose 10-12 lbs by…
  • That's a great idea Carol about recycling your clothes that no longer fit. I am wearing a size 18 and hope to get to a size 14. I was worried about getting size 16's with the notion that they would hopefully be just a transition size. Speaking of a waste of money! But you've shared a share strategy and I look forward to…
  • Guess what I did yesterday? I ditched my bra extender!!! Care to share one of your WooHoo memories? Diane
  • Hello ladies, I am back. I was off the treadmill for 5-6 days due to a mild cold that zapped my energy followed by company and some early morning family obligations. If I don't get walking first thing after my morning tea, it simply won't get done. The whole regiment - getting into work-out gear, stretching, warming up,…
  • Well, today was WW day. I have lost 11.2 lbs in 4 weeks and I am pretty darn happy with those results. November was a great choice for kick-starting my journey to loose 65 lbs. Snooozie, I like the December "triple D" theme! I feel strong and energized by my efforts to date. But most of all, I so appreciate the comments…
  • I am up to walking 40 min @ 2.8 mph on my $75 treadmill. According to the database, it's a "leisurely" stroll. At my size, I am sweating like ... well, you know. My distance today was 2 miles or 3.1 km. I could not have done this a week ago. So fun!!!
  • I often mix light mayo with light sour cream especially to make chicken or tuna salad, etc. That's how I'll get rid of the 0% mayo. I'm too cheap to throw it out LOL.
  • Today, for the first time in my life, I tried fat free mayo. Yuck. I will stick with light mayo thank you very much.
  • Bought a treadmill today from my neighbour who is moving to NZ. Pretty basic, doesn't incline, buy hey it was only 75 bucks. Just the thing to get me moving and keep me moving through the next 4 months of Canadian weather. Now I need to set some realistic goals. Any advice for someone who is just getting started? Wishing…
  • You guys are so inspiring already with you amazing losses! Thanks for your welcome.
  • Hello Hatters, I am new to MFP and just joined this group today, thanks Snooozie for the invite. Also today, I finished up my profile info, etc. Thirty days of 100% was meant for me as I started - or should I say re-started - my weight loss journey on Nov 1st. I've been tracking every day since and haven't touched the…
