In reply to hollyeverhart... I learned the hard way that sometimes you have to eat more to lose more... I wasn't losing ANYTHING when I was eating at 1200, but when I bumped my calories up to 1350 and ate my exercise calories back the weight started melting away... Something for you to think about....

Aside from what the other guy said (which is all very true), when you're eating that little it's a pretty sure thing that you're losing more muscle than fat... In Kansas here as well. :) Everything in moderation... make sure you're not eating too FEW calories (common thing around here... less food does not always equal more weight loss), watch your sodium, drink your water, and eat back those exercise calories. Welcome, and feel free to add me. :)

That's because most plans don't figure the calorie deficit in for you to lose. They mostly just tell you to eat better (healthier) and exercise. On MFP it gives you a deficit for you to lose weight WI|THOUT exercise, so if you DO exercise it wants you to eat those calories back so you aren't at too much of a deficit.…

Thank you for this! Some people drive me crazy swearing to everyone that they 'can't' lose weight unless they eat less than 1,000 calories in a day... It's just plain irritating...

Mostly it was just eating better and exercising some. I did C25K and Jillian's 30 Day Shred in there. I started in Feb of 2010 and the current pic was taken today about 20 minutes ago. :) Thanks, everyone!

Don't focus on pounds where 30ds is concerned. You're going to lose a lot more inches than pounds, I can promise you that. If you aren't eating your exercise cals back, start doing that. I lost more eating them back than when I didn't... ESPECIALLY where Jillian was concerned. And make sure a lot of those cals come from…

When I did it, I did it for 30 days straight with no rest. I got amazing results and I've heard the results are better if you DON'T take days off during. It's really all a matter of preference, though.
