I'm new also. Tried it once but wasn't ready to be committed. This time I am. I am trying to follow the allotments. From previous experience, stick with this. I have had 2 doctors say this is correct way to track. sent friend request

Being new thank you for post. I am one of the 1200, but in my case my Dr. told me to intake that amount of Calories. I agree about the fads, and not eating your allotted calories. Slow down metabolism and so you don't lose weight.

I am not a vegetarian or vegan but need to lose weight and eat healthier so will probably be eating more fruits and vegetables.
