I'm definitely self conscious at the gym. I work out on a base where everyone in there is fit and lean. So I feel like they are stairring at me and judging, but like most I get in and do my own thing. I crank up my music and pretend its just me in there!!

I use my phone it has Pandora. Even that wasn't working for me today!

Thank you to everyone with your responses and ideas. Reading that made me feel a lot better and made me think I can do this!!! Tomorrow will be a better day. I'll hit the gym tomorrow with a better attitude....wish me luck!!!

PS... Also don't take the diagnoses of PCOS as the end of having kids. I was told after I had my son I would never be able to have kids again and I was blessed to have a little girl. She is now 2. :happy:

Hi, I suffer from PCOS and Hypothyoidism. Needless to say losing weight for me is a stuggle. It seems like I can only gain, but not lose!! I'm hoping this time around on the right diet and meds I can finally get the weight off. Please feel free to add me as a friend as I know what you are going through!

I personally don't use the extra work out calories because then I think it defeats the purpose of working out. Why burn them off just to go eat them again?

The dr might have to up your meds. I'm at .200 and I too have a nodule that I have to get checked for cancer once a year.

I'm right there with you. Losing weight for me has been a struggle for the past 9 years because of my hypothyroidism. I also have PCOS which also causes weight gain. At one point with the right meds and diet I was able to lose 20lbs but then I put 40lbs back on. It's very frustrating. Sorry I don't have encouraging words…

I get the same way. For some reason as soon as 9pm hits I'm starving! All I want to do is eat. When I started MFP which was only 4 days ago I started eating a lot of fruit at night. Rather then candy, cakes, chips, or anything else I could get my hands on. I eat a cup of grapes and a kiwi or 2 clementine oranges and the…
