  • Welcome Kevin! I also love this site, I had the app on my phone for a long time, and recently found the full site, and was missing out with just the app! I started P90X in Feb. of this year, and am happy to say I am now a P90X grad, so if you have any questions or need support let me know. Ashlee
  • You absolutely can do it! Especially with the amazing MFP community. What a great support system!! Ashlee
  • Sounds great! Can't wait to try :)
  • I'm in the same boat :/ ....I've been working really hard lately at working out and even though I've had great success on my own, I feel like I would do even better if I had someone to push me when I feel like sitting down. Don't get me wrong, he is very supportive of me working out... letting me take over the living room…
  • I believe that breakfast is the most important meal of the day, and because of that I would say that yogurt is not enough to start your day off right. Have you considered a smoothie or meal replacement shake? At least that way you can add in some additional nutrients. Some mornings I'll make a smoothie and add in yogurt,…
  • I feel like 30 is just around the corner for me too! I'm hoping to run at least a half marathon before I turn 30!! Feel free to add me also :) Ashlee
  • Don't give up! Its a journey, you will have daily struggles but its important to see past those, and if you have a bad day move on from it and make a committment to do more the next day. Also keep in mind that your weight will fluctuate. Try no weighing in every day if you are finding that it discourages you. Take some…
  • Hey! I sent you a friend request :). I'm also doing insanity, (my second attempt) and know that it is an extremely challenging program, so I'd love to be able to share our journey and support each other!

  • Good morning! I hope everyone had a fantastic and healthy weekend! My weekend was pretty good. I had a couple of great workouts over the weekend, and spent a lot of time swimming as well. I did my weigh-in Friday and didn't see any movement on the scale, however, I'm going to stay positive and be happy that I didn't gain…
  • I would suggest preparing healthy snacks (maybe on the weekends) and having them pre-packaged ready to just grab and go. Also as far as tips for working out on long days, the best thing I can suggest is trying to incorporate exercise into your everyday actvivities. Things such as doing lunges or push-ups during commercial…
  • Great idea to have a Friday weigh in! I'm with you. Friday it is :). I'm doing pretty good so far, its been great reading about everyone's progress. Keep it up!
  • I know what you mean! I only make cakes as a hobby, but I've stopped taking requests because I don't want that stuff in my house!
  • Hi All, I just found this thread today and would like to join :). My husband and I have been ttc for over 2years now. We started trying pretty casually and then got a bit more serious, tracking temps and OPK's. When we finally went to the Dr. after about a year of trying unsuccessfully, she told us to give it 6more months…
  • There is a blog I follow from a girl who used P90X to improve her speed in marathon running.... My absolute favorite blog (kept me motivated because we did our first round at the same time). its at www.fitnessfatale.com. Look back at some of the older posts for her journey/training. She is amazing and has recently gotten…
  • 29lbs is Amazing! That is definitely nothing to be discouraged about!! I think that it is hardest to see the changes in ourself because they happen so gradually. One of the other commenters mentioned taking your measurements, and I completely agree. In addition, take a look at some old pictures, and take some new…
  • I think I did okay today. I didn't drink as much water as I should have...I was stuck in a 3hr long meeting at work with no restroom nearby, so I didn't want to fill up lol! But I got in my P90X workout...plyometrics today. That one is a killer!! Glad to see others did well today also :)
  • Made some tonight to take for lunch tomorrow...soooo good!! Thans again :-)
  • Thanks for starting this, and I can't wait to get to know you all over the coming month! Starting Weight - 131.6 August Goal - 126 Personal Goal - to limit eating out to once a week and skipping no workouts in phase 2 of P90X

  • Thanks Prekteachr! I have Turbo Jam but don't do it too often, maybe I'll start using that one again to familiarize myself with the moves again before I try Turbo Fire. I'm currently doing P90X and did Insanity, both of which include a ton of Plyo too, so I think I'd be okay there :)
  • I have a couple, first is just feeling better, I have more energy, fewer headaches and more confidence. Second, and maybe even better is that through my success, I have become much more open and love supporting others (I used to he a very private person) and as a result have met a lot of wonderful people by sharing my…
  • How do you like Turbo Fire? I've been thinking of giving it a try, but Im worried about struggling with the "choreography". Egrider- what is it that you are struggling with in P90X? I became a P90X grad in May, so I might be able to help. Just remember to modify! What version are you doing? Ashlee
  • Sounds delicious! Can't wait to try it, thank you for sharing!
