It's my go to for when I want to do some intense cardio but I've never actually completed the program straight through. Mostly because there just isn't enough resistance training to it. It has quite a bit of bodyweight circuits and there is an upper body weights video but aside from that it's really alot of plyo cardio…

Happens to me at times too. My absolute max bench press I've been able to hit is 225 x1. But then sometimes on chest day I struggle to get 210 up and fail. However on the other big power lifts like squats and deads once I hit a new PR I am then able to replicate that PR the next time almost always. I'm shooting off the…

Literally have no idea what you just said :s No to the peanut shells or sunflower seeds for me. But when I was a kid my mom used to bake pumpkin seeds and I'd eat the shells of those.

Yea they are pretty bad. Quest has alot of great products but they missed the mark on the PB cups. Like the poster above said they are very chalky and the texture is odd.

You can get Shakeology the same way. I pay about half the price off sites like Bonanza and Ebay for it.

Well I don't agree with that. That program is a non stop assault on your calves, knees, abductors, and glutes. Especially the Alpha phase. Shaun T is like an energizer bunny with all that hopping and jumping around. T25 is also setup so people can either do a double Friday and have Sat and Sun as recovery days, or do the…

http://stronglifts.com/5x5/ But you need all the weights, bench, and rack to do it. Sounds to me like you basically only have 2 days a week available cause of life and are trying to hit all the major muscles groups and maintain your cardio?

I have Combat and Pump and the only way I can do them is to mute the people and music. They are just way too chatty and hyped up for me lol. For what it's worth I feel the same way about Tony Horton. The first couple of times you do a DVD the singing, jokes and comments are funny. After 4-5 times it's old and annoying. I…

Kinda like this? BTW I enjoyed the humor in your post OP :D

I just listen to my body. Eventually I get that run down feeling and I know by body needs a break so I work in a rest day or two. I've even done a rest week at times (torturous) :(

The Alpha is very heavy on lower body. You're calves, shins, and arches are going to ache ridiculously. But I don't concur with jeremywm1977 above. The Alpha serves an important purpose of building up your lower foundation and core for the Beta phase which starts to incorporate much more upper and weights. During the Alpha…

I'm no expert and others probably can give better advice but I also find myself doing a 6-7 day routine most weeks. Eventually my body just feels down like you have described and I force myself to take a 2-3 day hiatus from my normal routine. I'll do stretching, yoga (even though I loathe it), and just some light cardio.…

Yep happens to me alot. I've also started having some wrist issues. So now I wrap my wrists up pretty tight with hand wraps before I put on my lifting gloves just to give me a little extra support while pushing/pulling. I def struggle with grip strength on Dead Lifts too. My grip hasn't progressed as fast as the rest of my…

Sorry. I have two teenage daughters. It's the protective dad in me talking lol. How did you make out?
-
Yep been on it for about 3 months now. Def gained 4-5 pounds but then it leveled off. But my PR's have been consistently rising in all my major power lifts. I'm not sure how much of it is mental or how much is actually the creatine but I'll take the progress. Creatine is cheap enough and I haven't about any proven harmful…

Oh def jump on that. Just be careful with Craigslist. Bring a friend or two to pick it up. You'll still need a bench too but that's a great deal.

Well just the weight plates alone would be over $400 at Dicks Sporting Goods. What's the guy asking for the entire lot?
-
Typically for plates I look for Weider and Dumbells I like Cap. Olympic plates are just higher quality and more expensive and like I mentioned have a 2 inch center because the Olympic bars have wide ends. Stick to the standard size plates they are cheaper and more available. To start I would say you need: Bench: Make sure…

Keep an eye out on Craigslist for someone selling weights in your area. Typically if you buy plates/dumbells at the store new they run like $1 per pound. I had a guy in my area moving out West and he was selling his entire weight collection for .25 per pound. I bought everything he had. If you're going to do a program like…

Whelp I'm not a big fan of Yoga so I wouldn't bother with that myself. So I'd alternate between the cardio and strength training DVD's and then do a Yoga once as a stretch/recovery day.

That's a little high even if you were going full out. HRM calorie burn readings aren't very good at measuring HIIT or Circuit type workouts. They are more accurate on steady state. For a 40-60 minute Insanity vid you're more then likely in the 450-500 cal burn range. For Insanity Max 30 it's more then likely in the 300-350…

Yep whenever I fail it's about halfway up. My other issue is I lift at home and I don't really have a spotter. I have safety bars in place in case I fail but I can't really challenge myself to much because I don't have the spotter there to give me that little bit extra to prevent failure. I'm progressing though, just not…

My new 1 rep max I hit last week is 215. For 3 reps max I'm around 200. My bench is by far the weakest of my stronglifts. I have no idea why. :(

I've tried alot and I think C4 is the best. None of the others give me the same sort of jolt. Right now I have Nano Vaper and it's meh. Can't wait to be done with it so I can go back to C4. Ones that I've tried recently: C4: Love it Muscletech Nano Vaper Hardcore Blue Raspberry: Meh and tastes pretty bad Muscle Pharm…

I'd suggest going to full on Insanity then. I know you said you tried Asylum and didn't like it but the original Insanity is much better structured. Has some great full body workouts like you said you like. Pure cardio is my all time favorite go to video. Max 30 was basically a compressed version of the original Insanity…

Sedentary desk job as well. I go for two long walks a day at work though. I try to hit 10K everyday but my average is probably around 8,500. Depends if it's a weight day or cardio. Cardio days I can hit upwards of 15K at times. Tough this time of year to hit a high amount of steps with the weather being so frigid :(
