Congratulations! It was very inspirational for me because as of right now I am 227 lbs, and it helped me to better visualize what i may look like if I continue to lose the weight. The picture of me on my ticker is me at 265 lbs. I haven't taken any up to date pictures yet.

Just began trying it this week at age 50. I have knee issues so I've been wearing knee support bands on both the good and the bad knee. No problems so far. I started out at three minuets and have worked myself up to 6. It's a start! Good luck!

I have been slowly recovering from a knee injury and I would suggest maybe try rowing and bicep curls. My weight loss has occured at a much slower pace as a result, but at least I have continued to see results. Hope this helps! Best of luck!

Chips has always been my big problem with weight gain. I can never eat just one. I started using tostadas since I began my mfp in a lot of my lunches and sometimes dinner. They take care of the chip craving-but you can up to three (1 serving)-which is perfect for me.

It's probably just water retention. I was tripping at the beginning of the week-because the scale reflected I had gained 5 lbs. Come to find out both pain medications the doctor put me on for my knee can cause water retention. Hang in there! You'll get past this!

Thank you for your posting. It helped me out quite a bit. I have knee issues too, and am waiting for my insurance to kick in to begin physical therapy. In the meantime I have tried Power walking videos-which put me in such pain I can hardly walk the next day. The idea of knee lifts and swimming as an option are very good…

I recently lost my main source of income and for the first 3 months of my diet I was living off of $20.00 a week grocery money. It was not as hard as it sounds to make it. I shopped at mainly the Dollar Tree-for my frozen vegetables (including spinach),frozen pineapple, mixed berries, and mango, green tea, cheese, eggs,…

If finances are pretty good at that time I would like to reward myself with a hot air balloon ride. It's been a big dream of mine and how i feel is it would be that much sweeter if it's part of my reward for achieving my weight loss goal.

I've only reached one plateau so far, and I increased my exercise and I continued to drop off the pounds. I still have a long way to go -97 lbs. to be exact. But I started out at 265 lbs. and am…

Hello, I'm Patty. I decided to join mfp back in November, 2013. My starting weight was 265 lbs. I've managed to lose 27 lbs. so far-thanks to mfp. I think the turning point of my weight loss has been the reality of knowing I'm in this for the long haul. It's a life-time commitment. I turned 50 this year and know that my…
