Someone who is pint-sized or average height and artistic.

I weigh myself daily because I am interested to see how my food choices affect fluctuations. It is the first thing I do, after a trip to the bathroom!
-
Now that I'm in a normal BMI range, it has only taken about 10lbs to drop a pant size. When I was still obese/overweight, it was around the 13-15lb mark I think.
-
Only one person, who I see 2/3 times weekly, noticed when I dropped the first 10 pounds and then on. It wasn't until I lost 33 pounds that other people started noticing. The compliments are nice (more than nice, even!), but you are doing this for your health. If you feel great and are happy, this will be picked up by…

I agree. I know of someone who lost five stone, but wasn't happy, thus putting most of it back on. Somebody else has lost 6 stone, but still thinks she's ugly and fat.

It could be that because you have been lowering your calories for so long, your body feels that it is time to 'catch up', so to speak. If you have been restricting quite a lot, that could explain the onset of the binge eating. I used to have some form of eating disorders when I was in my teens, which involved binge eating…

Same here. That is why I switched from the exercise bike to elliptical. Feel the burn!

The first three weeks were incredibly tough for me. I'd never been so hungry and the cravings were immense. Once my body got used to good food, I felt fabulous! I struggle to overeat without consequences now, plus 95% of the time, I drink water. Can't imagine having anything else daily.

Hi there! To be honest, I've had the same issue. I workout between 4-10 hours a week (normally lingering around the 7/8 hour mark), and then I am quite busy throughout the day, particularly if I am at work (which is a 4, 6 or 8 hour shift pacing up and down serving). I originally set my activity level as lightly active,…

We used to have a mid range one, and in using it everyday for 4 months some years ago, I must have lost at least a stone and a half. I've got a cheap one in my bedroom now, but doesn't do much for me because the tension is non existent - I prefer my elliptical.

Agreed.

That I *kitten* myself in Tesco last year. I have Gilbert's Syndrome, and sometimes I will have diarrhoea attacks if the food doesn't agree with me. The timing was unfortunate.
-
Mine have always been regular, but they are 3 days shorter and lighter since I have lost weight and exercised.
-
In for that Man Candy!

Congratulations! You look so, so happy, and you deserve to be! What a fantastic achievement!

I still eat some of the same stuff, but I have to admit I did cut a lot of things out. BEFORE Breakfast - Two/three chocolate bars, those Cadbury Animal biscuits Lunch - Two oily cheese paninis, large McDonalds meal, sandwich Dinner - 2 servings of pasta bake with extra cheese Snacks - Crisps, sweets, anything that was…

Congratulations, you are looking fabulous! :) My excuses were basically illness, laziness and ignorance. I knew I had gained weight, but thought I was still a athletic size 12. To be fair, the emerging stretchmarks over my tummy should have been a massive hint, but I just ignored the signs and ate whatever the hell I…

I can only really comment on the actual eating part and exercise (my commute is only 12 minutes each way, and although I am the second carer in the household, my siblings are fifteen and my Mum can feed herself). I do a 6.30-10.30pm, 5-11pm and alternate weekends of 3-11pm Sat and 9-5pm Sunday. On the first three shifts, I…

Congratulations on your loss so far! Like I've said to my MFP friends, honesty is the best way forward.
-
I have this issue. When it gets too warm, I just don't want to eat anything. Ice lollies, fruit and veg are about the only things I can tolerate!
-
It was trying on my old clothes to see how unflattering they were. I just chucked them all out this past weekend so there's no going back! Now, it is watching the tummy disappear and seeing how good I look in photos.
-
haha, same here! (except it was my colleague)

I don't dislike them by any means, but I am indifferent to them in terms of 'hotness'. I don't like a head-to-toe look, but tattoos aren't a dealbreaker for me. I do have four myself, but I don't think they make me any more or less attractive (two are hidden, two aren't often noticed).

All the best to those doing the 'No Alcohol April' challenge! I did Dry January and February, and I'm going to be partying tomorrow night, so unfortunately, I won't be able to take part this month.
-
I can have it for up to 72 hours after a workout, which is annoying, as I never see the drop on the scales!
-
I'd definitely up the calories. I'm the same - I've gone from 1200 to 1680 now, although on exercise days (which is 5/6 days a week), it can rise up to 2550. If you are working out regularly and hard, you need to eat more. Trust me, you'll feel better :)

I have to agree with the 'lack of self control' aspect. I'm not going to get into the ins and outs of the 'addiction' to food, because I don't even know where I stand on that viewpoint, but it is definitely a self control thing.
-
Hey there! In my third year of A Levels, I must have put on a stone and a half. I had a serious lack of self control when it came to stopping - I could eat two paninis at school at break, three chocolate bars for lunch, large McDonalds meal + McFlurry for second lunch, and then two bowls of pasta for dinner. This is not…

I agree with the above. When I started exercising, there was no way I could only eat 1200. I struggle to only eat 1680 on a rest day! You definitely need to eat more if you plan to undertake an intense workout program. Furthermore, don't push yourself to injury. I like working out 5/6 days a week, but if my body aches, I…
