Hi!! I am 27, 5'8" and have about 35 lbs to go. Once I hit my goal, I want to ditch my scale (figuratively) and trade it in for a permanent focus on a healthy and active lifestyle. I love the support I've found through MFP so anyone can add me too :)

I'm really just wanting to start strength training in general so my cardio is more effective.

Thank you all for the replies! Can't wait to get home and check some out. Eventually (when it gets colder) I'll hit the gym and maybe utilize a personal trainer a few times, but in the meantime I just want to make sure I don't lose muscle.

Though I've been on MFP for a while, I'm just starting to get in the habit of actually using it. So I'm in the same boat! Also, looking for some friends and hoping for a great support group. We can do this!!
