I use the 30 day shred videos on youtube. It's a great full body workout in less than a half hour!

My tip is to find a workout that is enjoyable and convenient. That has made me much happier. It's the endorphins, the calorie burn, simply the time that's spend doing something away from the fridge... so many benefits.

Our wing place was right across the street from Taco Bell! If I wasn't feeling our food, I'd go there on my breaks! It was super bad when they started the value menu. I told myself I was going to try everything on the value menu-how's that for a nutrition goal? Haha bad news.

BinaryPulsar-you are awesome! I found a good deal on Amazon for that first book and snagged it :) I really have no idea how strength training works, so I'm eager to learn.

What is the context of this binging? Is it going out with friends, or on your own?
-
If you eat a balanced diet, you probably don't need them.

Last night: multiple beers and fries with cheese and bacon. Normally not a problem, but I was already at a BBQ that day and was over on cals before I even started. Don't regret good times with friends, do regret not being moderate about dat *kitten*

I used to work at a chicken wing place, so lots of wings and seasoned fries! I mean, they were free so...

Got told last night "You look like a wh*re" by some drunk chicks so you're not alone here sister! In a modest dress and flats, but hey, I was standing on a street corner when they drove by ;) Also, I want creepers.

Awesome thanks. I guess it is worth investing in some physical therapy. I've never had any type of training on what proper form should be. Although I know seeing a physical therapist is important to know what is right for my own body, but if any of you all have any internet/book references for proper form when working out,…

I like that you are thinking about this. It's tough stuff to work through. Personally, I find journaling to be a big help. I'll let it all out and by the time I'm done, I will usually come around to a positive mental state. It is a hard balance to strive to look good but to be content at the same time. I know people say to…

I second this. Don't read too much into it.

I actually did get x-rays taken by my doctor, who said everything looks normal. I did have an inflamed bursa a couple years ago from sitting down funny in heels. But that was in my left knee, and the pain will happen in both knees. The machine I'm on is similar to a cross trainer but a little different-I'm told its great…

Hmm I always thought gum makes you more hungry, cuz the chewing and saliva excretions makes your body ready for food. But if it works for you all, might give it a try. I like the idea of destressing,

Degree makes great women's deodorants that don't smell too strong. Sometimes I go for Old Spice Figi-not too masculine of a scent and works great!

Log log log it ALL!! Even if you eat a ton of crap! Just writing it down will likely reduce your intake, even if you're not trying to diet. Knowledge is power!
-
Move out ASAP? And don't talk to them about dieting/exercise.
-
Have you ever been a parent? Those kids have crazy energy and move wayyy more than I ever do.

You might meet requirements for micronutrients, but I would think that it's still unhealthy as your body will start using muscle as fuel at that low of a calorie intake.
-
I'd say protein is the answer. Protein keeps you full for long periods of time, and fiber does the same thing, which there also tends to be a lot of in these drinks. I usually use it as a meal replacement. Usually I'll mix it into a glass of milk, which will be 200 calories. It keeps me full for hours! Just make sure to…

Do you use a water filter? That might make it taste better. Also, sometimes it just takes getting used to. I used to only drink diet sodas, tea, juice, ect. but started drinking more water when I began going to the gym regularly. Now it's not so bad, because I'm used to it. I kind of developed a taste for it.

You could screw up your metabolism if your body starts consuming muscle along with the fat for energy. Muscle is more metabolically active than fat, so losing muscle will slow down your metabolism. You can minimize this by working out and doing strengthening exercises. Also, make sure you are consuming your daily…

Different strokes for different folks. It might be "absolutely asinine" for YOU to give up whole food groups. Guilt and misery, oh the horrible life they must live!!!, you might think. Or maybe not...if someone is happy and healthy with a new way of eating and can sustain it, all the best, I say. Some people can forgo cake…

I'd much rather have beer and tater tots lol

Actually, most of the time food is in your gut, it's in the colon. And micronutrients mostly get absorbed in the small intestine. I'm guessing it would only take 6 or 7 hours for that part of digestion. Wish I could edit my first post, but I can't anymore. Maybe an example will help: I go throughout my day eating a fairly…

Does this also hold true if you eat enough fat, but then burn it off later? I always thought you were burning from fat stores, so that wasn't a big deal unless you were underweight or something.
-
Well, I eat at a maintenance level during the day and go to the gym at night and work down to 1200. So isn't that post absorption? I picked 1200 because I heard after that, your body will start breaking down muscle.
