What I like to do is wash up grapes and set them on the counter as an easy accessible snack or have bananas handy. I have 2 boys and I know what you mean when they are grabbing snacks 5 minutes after they just ate dinner!! I tell them they can have a banana, yogurt, or another fruit. If they say no then I know they really…

MFP does it automatically each day after you complete your food diary. It will say something like "if everyday were like today, in 5 weeks you'll weigh ......"

have you tried the organic section in your local grocery store? I thought I saw something similar at my local Kroger.

when you feel like giving up scroll through some of the success stories on here. They always seem to motivate me!

Maybe suggest having a free date night each week and then pick an activity that will get him some exercise ex. nature trail walk, bike ride, or dancing. Like others have said you can't force someone who doesn't want to do it themselves, but there are small ways to help encourage :)

I have told family and friends from the get go when they started noticing my weight loss and asking how I did it that I eat when I want and what I want just not so much of it :) Now many of them have decided to give MFP a try :)

Awesome!! You look great!

it's just a way of bumping the post to the top

I like to eat raw carrots and broccoli with dip every day for lunch. Also spinach, mushrooms, and green peppers are all good in an omelet :)
-
yes, go for a walk so you can gain back some of those calories and drink lots of water :)

You do not necessarily have to find time to go to a gym. I have kids too a 7 year old and 4 year old. Sometimes we just go for a walk together, play wii fit, dance, take a bike ride, or go swimming. I've been on this journey since November and just joined the gym this past week, but I do not plan to spend a lot of time…

I started because I want to be happy during any time I may have left! I'm 32 with a husband and 2 wonderful little boys. My mother was diagnosed with early onset Alzheimer's at age 55 and because her father had it as well as his father I have a 50/50 chance of carrying the gene as well. Exercising and eating healthy is…

Make sure you are drinking lots of water and I mean LOTS. It will seriously help you feel fuller. Also, if you haven't already, invest in a food scale. I have found that sometimes you can eat way more than using a measuring cup which has helped me stay on target tremendously!

this! Make sure you get in a ton of water it will help you feel full :)

I got lucky and it snowed even more so I did get to go out a second time! :)

I like healthy life high fiber 100% whole wheat whole grain. I have found it at both Kroger and walmart. It's only 35 calories a slice and I try to stick to open faced sandwiches as much as possible.

Agree with the others.....water, water, and more water! :)
-
Considering it just snowed 10 inches here in Ohio I spent 45 minutes shoveling and lifting heavy snow! :) I also did some high intensity wii fit since the roads were too bad to go out :)

pizza and chips are high in sodium so yes, you may gain weight, but mostly from water. Keep drinking water to wash it out of your system, get back on track, and you should be fine! :)

I'm 5'2" and started at 185. Currently at 168. Add me if you would like :)

I had one December 2012 and am 32. Recovery was not as bad as what I was anticipating! I was really only down for a couple days, but went easy for a couple weeks. However, it is different for everyone.

Wow! You need to do what is right for YOU not your family! A lot of men like women who are confident and financially secure. I agree with the others...sitting in front of the computer gets you no where. Go out and volunteer to start to network. Some good places to check out are your local library, hospital, neighborhood…

I was having this problem too for a long time....eating healthier (eating more fruits, veges, using olive oil, etc) and was even going to the gym. I'd walk, lift, and even got myself jogging up to 3 miles. I did this for almost 6 months and lost nothing! I was so frustrated that I gave up. It wasn't until this past…

Bring out the food scale and measuring cups for everything you plan to eat and drink lots and lots of water!! It's all about portion control. Find out how much less you should be eating and if you are feeling hungry drink water to fill the void. It's really that simple and I wish I had figured it out long ago! Best of luck!

Everyone says you are starving yourself at 1200, but I am doing just fine with it!. In fact that's where my doctor said I would need to be if I wanted to lose any significant weight. I drink a TON of water (8+ cups) and if I want to eat extra I try to get in some exercise. It's not impossible! After a week or two I got…

yes, but sodium makes you retain water. Not sure what days you weigh in, but if it was one of those days you could have been retaining water weight! Also are you drinking a lot of water?

I am on 1200 as well. I keep seeing people say 1200 is too low, but I have managed to feel full and still fit in some not so healthy snacks. I do drink lots and lots of water...4 bottles on average. That way the only drink I get calories from is milk. I don't exercise a whole lot and even have trouble on some days making…

I am so glad to hear all this good news! I too have that kind of belly from 2 pregnancies only I feel that mine may be a little worse :embarassed: At least I can hang on to this hope!

I also tried this for about 4 months straight with no results! Don't bother and make sure to cancel after your first order or they will continue to send them to you and you'll be charged!!
