You could have went out and shoveled some of that snow to gain back some calories. I like to fit in a cookie by doing this. We got close to 10 inches here in NW Ohio

I have one too! I'm down 30 lbs and it's gone in a little, but not much :(

I have a fitbit flex and it helps motivate me to get in my steps. I love how it syncs to mfp and automatically puts in any extra calories I've gained walking throughout the day. It is however just a fancy pedometer so it won't track other exercises like biking and swimming.

Keep in mind that a lot of those "slim" girls you speak of were more than likely in your shoes at one time too and would never pass judgment at someone who was trying to improve their health! I actually use the skinny girls as motivation to work harder while at the gym. I also really envy the people who are soaked with…

Well, I have 2 boys ages 8 and 4 and I am just now losing the baby weight although I've been trying for a while! MFP has been the only thing that has worked for me. All I have done is: dumped soda for water, joined the gym, and started eating a few more fruits and veggies :) I also have not cut out anything that I love…

Yes, he does! He started going to the gym (not as often as me though) and eating healthier as well! He has also been complimenting my efforts and approving finances for my new wardrobe ;)

yep! Green beans, sweet potatoes, broccoli, green peppers, zucchini, and cherry tomatoes! :)

not sure about the numbness, but pain in calves could be result of low potassium (hence eating the bananas) or maybe just needing a new pair of shoes. Think I would consult a doc if it continues.

what about milk or fruit juice?

I liked doing wii fit through the winter months when I didn't have a gym pass or just couldn't get there and found it to be a lot of fun! :) Granted it is not as good as say going to the gym, but if your SO doesn't usually do any type of exercise than this could be a fun way to start! :)

Do not give up the foods that you love just eat less of them and lots and lots of water! :)
-
make sure you are weighing and measuring everything and drink lots and lots of water!

Wow cannot believe what some of you have to pay for groceries! I am not an extreme couponer by all means, but do know of a deal for fresh fruit......driscolls fresh fruit has a code on the bottom.....enter this and take a quick survey over the package you just ate and they will email you a coupon that you can print twice!…

I know, I was just as shocked as you when I found out how much I'd actually been eating! Even a handful of m&ms is worse than I ever imagined! :/ Anyways, I would go with the number MFP set for you to start. It doesn't hurt to stay under, but it does to go over :) If you feel after a few weeks you can handle fewer calories…

I see people all the time do this at the gym I go to....on the treadmill, elliptical, and bikes! I wouldn't be able to concentrate enough to do it though.

Actually lots of people seem to have been able to answer my question based on what I said. Your right that I don't know her reasoning or what her goals are. I was not exactly comparing my workout to hers just asking if it was better to use more weight and only go down partial or use what I can handle going parallel. Still…

Awesome! Thanks for the info! :)

That is what I would say this was, but she had an extra 80 lbs on the bar so I guess it looked impressive to me who only just started adding 10 to each side :ohwell:

strawberries with lite whip cream :)
-
I like scrambled eggs in the morning sometimes mixed with spinach, mushrooms, and turkey sausage. Also love my sweets, but have found a bowl of fresh strawberries and lite whip cream will hit the spot most nights! :)
-
For breakfast I usually have 2 scrambled eggs mixed with a few turkey sausage crumbles and a piece of toast with 1/2 Tbs, of grape jelly and one whole bottle of water. This keeps me full until lunch and only adds up to about 260 calories. Lunch is normally an open faced sandwich of a meat and cheese or 1 Tbs peanut butter,…

MFP puts you at a deficit to lose weight based on whether you put in to lose at 1/2lb a week or 2lbs a week. If you exercise and burn off the calories you are allotted to eat than you can eat those back if you choose to. Some people do, some don't, some eat back half. It's your choice! Do what works for you :)

5'3" and aiming for a fit 140 :)

WOW!!! I'm going to have to try that!! Awesome difference!

I've been doing 1200 too and eat way more than that! I also have 2 kids who are involved in activites and what not. I walk the park while they are having baseball practice, go for bike rides with them, walk some nature trails, and even do wii dance or fit if it's raining. You can always use your lunch break to walk a bit…
