Reading on the treadmill?

I had a bad weekend (which is okay :D) and I want to do some extra exercise today. The problem is I have a fair amount of reading to do. It is a large spiral notebook (so not a tiny novel or an e-reader). I plan on resting it on the monitor and walking briskly for 2 hours. I might look like a fool but does anyone else do this?

I see people all the time do this at the gym I go to....on the treadmill, elliptical, and bikes! I wouldn't be able to concentrate enough to do it though.

 never seen anyone read on a treadmill.....

Why not use the stationary bike? That would maybe be a bit more do able. Or even just do your exercise then go back home to do your reading?

I've seen people watching movies on tablets, reading, once even knitting.

Do what you got to do!
