  • I have found that having beers used to make me bloated and increased my weight. It also makes me want to snack more and I become so sluggish, I do not always feel to exercise. Therefore, whenever I want to lose weight, I refrain from alcohol. Even when I'm on weight maintenance, I'm quite reserved in my alcohol intake.
  • Man-o-man! I never expected such a post to be on MFP but I'm glad it is. I felt like I was reading my story with this post. However the difference is that I'm married 6 years now to my husband who drinks. He gets annoying when he drinks, like picks on me about anything he can think about. I even tell him that I'm not…
  • These are my indicators: My clothes getting looser, especially my trousers. My thighs, abs, arms getting stronger. Increasing energy. Being able to resist excessive snacking motivate me also. But I have to admit...seeing loss on the scale boosts me up...way up!!!
  • Thanks for the suggestions, esp. regarding Lasix and workouts.
  • Aww man, such a simple suggestion. Gosh, think that'll do it for me cause it's frustrating. Lol!
  • I am actually expecting anytime soon...when I start feeling that "I'm fat" feeling, it's usually about 2-3 days before. Have you ever tried water pills? I have heard of Lasix and someone once gave me one...you go to the washroom like every 15mins until mid-day. I loved how it pull out all that water. But I do not know how…
  • I had liposuction of both arms on July 28th. It is progressing really well and I can see that I will be pleased. I had flabby arms after weight loss in 2012, but after working it out the entire 2013, I got fedup and went for lipo. I did this in Trinidad so cost would not matter to you but it was pretty costly here. I was…
  • Awww man, I'm so glad I read these comments...thought I was being weird because I also weigh every morning after I pee...rarely ever miss it. Right now, to be honest, it's the only thing I am sure to log in MFP.
  • Somewhere I heard it was recommended first this in morning after you pee. So that's what I do.
  • Inspiring post and you look absolutely beautiful. Keep raising your head high! Thanks for the motivation.
  • Haahaa...that was great. I'll certainly use this to gauge my lifestyle habits. Lol!
  • So my straight answer would be: YES
  • This question made me examine myself. I would've said that mfp made me more "aware" of my eating and exercise habits. But after self-examination, I believe that I have become "obsessed" since using mfp. I think it's especially those charts...I check my weight graph daily to see the trends. But while "obsessed" I am....I…
  • I love this thread...you guys are hilarious! - I now pad up my boobs cause they're almost non-existent - I had sooo many undies and don't want to buy more, that I still wear them and they look like bloomers - If people learn my age now, they act sooooo shocked, cause when you lose alot of weight, I suppose you tend to look…
  • That's so mean and discouraging...those ppl are unbelieveable. Anyway mine is "You can eat that?" Yeah I get that everyday someone sees me eat bread, or ice cream, etc. I have to be constantly explaining that I did my diet in 2012 people and now I eat almost anything I want but just in reasonable portions. Like…
  • I love how you look and love your will power. You really do have to find what you love and stick to it...that's what gives you the drive. Great job, keep it up!
  • Trust me...slow and steady is better than fast in short space of time. There are after effects when you lose weight too fast that you simply would not like after the fact, eg. saggy skin. I also know that the more weight you have to lose, the more you would lose than someone who has less...I've seen this. You're doing…
  • Hey thanks...I think it was all in my mind...I finished off Beta last week, and actually restarted the Beta cycle this week...lol. That was my intention...to redo Beta cause I love it. Congrats to everyone that completed Beta. I hope to brave into the next phase in the near future. By the way, Speed 2.0 is my best workout…
  • First of all, I appreciated your "tone" of writing...thanks. By chance, can you say how long it took for your acquaintances' skin to tighten up? You used the words "stay patient"...I've been patient for more than a year...lol, not patient enough? Joking about it but really want to know.
  • I'm very interested to know if alternative methods work. I had tried a cream last year and wrapping with saran wrap but I did not see any difference and eventually stopped. Yet I have been constantly browsing the net and checking reviews of various products to deal with cellulite. So if would be great to hear of your…
  • No I did not...that first one scared me out of my wits. But I'm thinking if I go for consulation and you explain those scary risks to me, then you are not trying hard to sell your service...you're being frank about the risks. So I just don't want to do any surgery on my leg again.
  • You won't believe how glad I am to see your pic...seriously. My belly area looks exactly the same and would hang over when I bend. It used to bother me but then I came to realize that it has to be lose skin due to preganancy because it does not disappear with weight loss or exercise. And I have to say that I can accept…
  • Since I lost weight, I try to keep alcohol consumption to a minimum, because I've observed with myself that when I do have, I tend to put on a few pounds that somewhat seem harder to lose than if I'd put on weight with overeating. I also feel very bloated with beer, so if I do have alcohol, it's not beer anymore. Of…
  • I mean I've been laughing hilariously throughout the many posts, but I've paused at this one...cause there was a time (many moons ago), when I used to laugh with my mom at her "accidents" which occurred during any squatting actions including laughing bouts. I'm thinking that this could be happening to alot of us now huh?
  • I'm totally in sinc with this feeling. But my motivation is that I realize that if I exercise regularly, I can eat anything I want and still maintain my weight. If I do not include exercise, then I'll have to cut back or diet...and I do not want to do either. So you know what...exercise those calories off everyday. Of…
  • I have NEVER, EVER thought of logging that. But this suggestion is hilarious!!! Thanks for making my day!
  • In 2012, I lost 50+ lbs and went from 40D to 36C. Their just these little raisin-like chest structures now...glad for weight loss, but some tops just do not fit right anymore. My measurements do not seem to be in sinc anymore and it's the boobs that are off, for sure.
  • Distinct difference! You look absolutely great! Puzzled measurements don't show it. Be sure to measure at the same areas okay. 5 weeks is a short period, give yrself time.
  • You know, I'm thinking it's just been 3 weeks for you, so just constantly have it in your head that you'd like to kick the habit, and I think as the baby's sleep schedule change later on, and you gradually regain a better sleep schedule...you'll find that habit becoming lesser and lesser of an occurrence. Don't stress…
  • I don't know why but seems to me that my body's a bit tired this week...I'm just not performing my workouts with the zeal I had before (and I'm not on my period). I've just lost zeal...I'm still doing the workouts, it just feels like a giant task this week. At this second-to-last week in Beta phase, I'm surprised to have…
