  • I go 5 days week before work - 3 days I am doing Spartan workouts and the other 2 are running days. My workouts are important to me because they boost my mood - I have a high emotion/low activity job as a therapist - so unless I am sick, I go. Weekends are free, but I do enough house work that I am still fairly active.
  • Stress usually makes me sky high, too. Sorry you are going through this. Mine was 100 this morning. I forgot my evening meds.
  • I have asked him, have begged him, but he is not ready. I am more than willing to work out with him, but he just isn't there.
  • My doc thinks I will be off it within the year if my A1C keeps dropping like it has. I am working hard to make that goal!
  • I love having a workout buddy. He sends me sad memes if I miss the gym and heckles me all day about it, and he pushes me really hard during our workouts (I swear I hear his voice yelling at me to get my butt down for the perfect plank in my sleep!). But he is super supportive as well and encourages me to challenge myself.…
  • I had to cut my Glyburide in half due to low readings after exercise. I have learned that even on a half dose, I need a mid-morning snack to keep from having a crash. I keep a variety of snacks in my desk at work and usually have something around 10am. After that it levels off and I do not have such a drop.
  • 84 for me this morning, which was unexpected as I had a bad food day last night!
  • Hello! My name is Stacey and I was diagnosed with T2D last November, the day after I turned 44 (happy bday to me!). My fasting blood sugar that day was 268 and my A1C was 7.9. My doc put me on Janumet and Glyburide and gave me some decent guidelines for food and exercise. My Mom and Dad both had T2D and I was 60 pounds…
  • He was my co worker and I knew he ran marathons and was big into fitness. I asked him if he'd be willing to work out with me and keep me motivated and we've been best friends and workout buddies since!
  • I was diagnosed with Type 2 exactly a year ago, my A1C was 8% and my fasting glucose was 268 that day. I found a workout buddy and hit the gym, worked up to 5ks and have completed 2 half marathons. My checkup was 2 days ago and my A1C is at 7% and my fasting glucose and all other values are normal. My doc is ecstatic with…
  • Thanks!
  • Swiss Miss K Cup peppermint hot chocolate. 60 calories, which is less than most hot chocolates, and sooo good! It is my go-to midmorning snack on chilly fall days!
  • I will be honest - I just eat. I also try to stay more active. I have the insatiable hunger plus the cravings. I still track and it makes me cringe, sometimes, how much and what I am eating, but I put in more time at the gym and usually manage to have a calorie deficit. I have noticed that when I do have willpower and stay…
  • Personally I have noticed major improvement once I started doing planks. I hate them so much! But this is the flattest my stomach has been since before my 2 kids.
  • Running day - I did 2.30 miles in 30 minutes.

  • My starting/highest was 176. My current is 153. My goal is 140, maybe a bit less. That puts my BMI in a healthy range. Wow. It does feel good to see that!
  • Rad should be replaced by lit, though. I have teenagers. I speak their language, much to my chagrin!
  • Exercise is a natural mood booster, so stay active. Coping skills such as deep breathing exercises can also help you get through a bad moment - breathe in for 5, hold for 5, exhale for 5.
  • Failure is not an option.

  • Yeah, bed no later than 10om, everything packed or laid out the night before, and a solid morning routine. My alarm is set for 5am but generally I wake up on my own around 4:30. You will find you will have more energy during the day after working out in the morning.
  • 2.10 miles in 30 minutes. My knee was tweaked or I would have got another mile in.
  • I am a morning person, so that's whan I workout. I get a boost of energy and it also puts me in a good mood for the day. I was going in the afternoons after work but that time is so busy- making dinner, helping with homework, wanting to watch TV - I had every excuse in the book!
  • I have a 5k on Thanksgiving morning to give me a cushion, but other than that, not grazing all day, and being diligent in working out the rest of the time, I won't deprive myself.
  • So my best friend is a very good looking, 28 year old straight male. I am 44, overweight, and pretty plain - and not wealthy enough to be a sugar mama! We go to concerts, movies, and to races together (with the blessing of my husband and his girlfriend), and we are workout buddies. We are so much alike that I feel like we…
  • I like My 600 Pound Life. Some of those folks are super inspirational with dedication to exercising and eating well to help their weight loss surgery be successful.
