  • Have a bigger breakfast! Like maybe add a banana to the apple that you're already eating, or maybe another apple. Do you like cottage cheese? Cottage cheese is also a great source of protein which I have for breakfast sometimes. Yogurt works too, but I don't really like it.
  • Two pieces of 12 grain toast, apple cinnamon jelly, and a veggie burger patty :)
  • An Athlete multi-vitamin that I got at Costco. I used to take a whole pill every day, but then I started feeling funny so I've reduced it to half a pill a day. I used to do fish oil and glucosamine until I ran out, and noticed that they are in my multivitamin.

  • A good way to tell if you're losing fat and gaining muscle is by doing body measurements. My weight was staying consistent, but I was losing inches due to building lean muscle and losing fat.   • The same thing has been happening to me, but I recently read an article that said the average person loses 50 - 100 hairs a day. And considering that the average person has 250,000+ individual hairs on their head, it should be ok.
  • I measure myself so that I can compare my body fat percentages. It's a good idea, and makes me feel more accomplished.
  • Jump squats. They kill, but are definitely worth it. Lunges also.
  • Swimming laps. I lost about 40 pounds in 4 months by swimming laps. Although you have to make the laps count, and do at least 100 each time you're in the pool.
  • Vegweb.com is a great website for vegan recipies, and with all of the meat substitutes out there, you can mostly have the same foods. Like I love tacos, but instead of ground beef I use Veggie Protein Crumbles.
  • I think the easiest way to transistion to vegetarianism is to start replacing your regular burgers with veggie burgers. The world of soy has become amazing - much more than just tofu.   • Oatmeal used to make me hungry as well! But then one it just magically stopped making me hungry, I have no idea why.
  • I've tried my apples with peanut butter, but it's like they cancel eachother out. Especially since I only want to use 2 tbsp. of peanut butter because of the high calories.
  • Definitely not crazy. I told my mom about it, and she says that apples are supposed to fill you up. It just doesnt work that way for me although I wish it did :(
