Do not trust the calorie counter on your treadmill. It is not accurate at all! Even if you enter your height and weight, many treadmills and exercise equipment adds an "after burn" calorie total which is bunk. Use the calculators on MFP with the mph and minutes or a heart rate monitor. My treadmill said I burned almost 900…

Goals can be adusted as time goes on. As an OT, I am continually revising goals for my patients. I say keep the goal for now, and if your weight loss slows, then revise the goal in a few months. HTHs!

A heart rate monitor will keep the most accurate count of calories burned. HTHs!

Some days I am over on fat, others I am over on carbs, and I am almost always over on protein but still manage to keep under my calorie goal. I am losing at the rate I want to, so for now, it is working.

If that schedule is working for you, then stick with it. I agree that there is a long gap between afternoon snack and dinner but if you are not hungry, then no worries. If you are, maybe a small snack around 5ish?

You are doing great! Don't get discouraged! Remember, you are taking the weight off in a slow, steady and healthy way so you can't compete with crash dieters that will gain their weight back immediately.

I get this comment A LOT! I mean like every couple of weeks... and at first I was really hurt. Now I just recognize it is my body type. I am apple shaped gaining most of my weight in my girls, stomach, and back. My legs, hips, and thighs are skinny compared to my torso. People just assume I am pregnant... I counter their…
