  • Welcome. I hope you enjoy the site as much as I do. I've learned so much, not only from a nutritional standpoint, but from a human standpoint. We are all in this together and the support is tremendous here. I can't imagine my life without MFP.
  • Yes, it can go bad. Sorry you had to have that experience. It's yucky when the oil separates. Hope you go it all cleaned up.
  • YOU GO GRIL!!!!! Keep up the great work.
  • You Go Girl! Keep setting those goals and meeting them. There is no better feeling in the world than reaching a goal. That sense of accomplishment. Keep up the great work.
  • You go GIRL. You know, even when I know I'm going to be bad, I log it anyway. Just to see how bad I really was and then I work out like crazy so I don't feel so guilty. But hey, you deserve an off day now and then an planning for it helps. Have a GREAT time and don't sweat the small stuff.

  • I have a 13 yr. old and she has been doing chores for allowance since she was 7. We do not pay her to clearn her room or make her bed. But there are other chores she does to earn an allowance. We can't make her clean her room, so I simply close the door. When she's had enough of a junky room because she can't find…
  • Welcome to MFP. The support from everyone is fantastic. I don't always reply, but I read most of the posts and they are very encouraging. It's tough to stay on track if you're not accountable to anyone, but I made the commitment to be accountable to myself. However, I read everything when I log my food for the day. Hang in…

  • Way to go at Wendy's. That's a huge change in my book and saving every calorie is great. I applaud you for choosing healthier than what you ate before. Hang in there. You're on the right track.
  • You ROC! Way to go. Keep up the GREAT work. And thanks for making our nation a safer place to live.

  • I just looged my food for the day, and no problems. Sorry
  • Welcome to MFP. You had the motivation to join the site, so keep the mojo going by comitting to stay within range of calories and to work out. I know it's hard, but you just have to MAKE yourself do it. I hate working out, but I so love the results of my hard work and the guidance of MFP, that it motivates me more. Once…
  • It depends on what you are drinking and if you are adding those calories in. I know when I started I thought a few drinks would be okay, and then when I started adding those calories in my daily total, I had to decide if drinking those calories was worth it. For me, it's not. Now I occasionally have a drink but I still…
  • I think I joined too late to know about everything going on with you, but wish you luck, none the same. I just really like reading your responses to people. You are HUGE inspiration and I get so much out of your intellect and insight on so many aspects of life. Thank you for sharing your mind! Good baseball stats. Keep up…
  • I'm a sugarholic too and my office environment is about the same as yours. What I started doing is cutting the donuts in half or whatever else is being served and just eat the half. I log it , but it looks better putting in .5 rather than 1.0.

  • Great response Banks. Good to see you back again. You are a great inspiration to so many of us. Jaymi, just get back on track and log your food for the whole day, then follow it. Don't wallow in guilt, make tomorrow committement stick.

  • Welcome. changing your lifestyle eating habits is hard no matter what age you are. You just have to pull yourself up by your boot straps and commit to yourself to DO IT. No one else can make you do it, but you. I have been heavy my whole life and here I am in my mid forties just figuring it out that it's ME who has to…
  • You go girl! Good luck with the class. I'm in healthcare and it's a great field. Keep up the good work.
  • I'll keep praying...Keep the faith.
  • Hi, welcome! I joined in April after hitting a plateau. I was looking for a free calorie counter. I had no idea what a blessing this site would turn out to be. I have lost 12 lbs. since joining in April and I'm so thankful that I am losing again. I still have 83 lbs to go, but I will use this for the rest of my life. It…
