  • This is the best site you will ever use for support and willpower. I have to lose 128 pounds and if I can do it, you can too..... We're all in it together. Welcome to MFP and if you need support, we're here.
  • BTW... I noticed Jullian has a workout program disc for the Wii. I'm gonna check it out. Surely she doesn't work you out as hard as she does the contestants on TBL. I'll let you know if I end up getting it. I think it's only for the regular Wii though and not the Wii fit.
  • My daughter just bought me a Wii Fit for Mother's Day. I know, it's early, but she and the hubby wanted to get it when they saw it or it'd be gone. So, I've only been using it 5 days and I LOVE it. I still go workout at the gym, but the games are so much fun. I am finding that I am using it every night, even if I do go to…
  • Welcome to MFP. You will fall in love with this site and the support is AWESOME.
  • First of all KUDOS to you for stopping smoking. I think quitting smoking is harder than losing weight. When I quit in 2007 I gained about 24 pounds till my doctor said my weight had to come off. So, I started exercising and counting calories and that was easier than I thought. However, I did find myself needing to do…

  • Welcome to MFP. Do you mean walk 3 miles 5 times a week? You wrote 3 miles 5 times a day. If that's true that's 15 miles a day. The weight should fall off. Even if it is 3 miles 5 times a week, that's a great start. You'll find lots of support here. Losing the weight isn't easy, but it is sure worth it. Hang in there and…

I had lost weight before coming here, but now that I see and count what I put in my mouth it's much easier to choose the good stuff. I also like being able to see and use my exercise calories. If I've had a bad calorie day, I may…

  • You have to tell yourself that you CAN do this. Only YOU can make the changes necessary to achieve your weight loss and goals. Dig deep, and pull yourself up by the bootstraps. it ain't easy, but I've learned nothing worth having or doing comes easy. I've been heavy my whole life and really didn't think I could do this…

  • Welcome to MFP. You will find support here. Committment is hard, but so worth it. This is the first time I have been dead serious about losing the weight and keeping it off. It is not about losing it just so I can start eating badly again. This is a lifestyle change. If I ever reach my goal, I will still be here logging my…

  • Yes, Thank you for the site. I'm going to try it now. Blessings on you for sharing!
  • I'm so glad you asked this question. I have no idea how to calulate calories for home made recipes. I have searched the internet for a calorie builder but haven't found one yet. I'll keep checking back here to see if anyone out there knows. There's got to be a way. Hopefully we'll get an answer soon. Hang in there.

  • thanks for the link, but if you're over 175 lbs. it won't do much good. At least I couldn't find a place to put my current weight and havei t calculate burned calories like MFP does. Thanks anyway
  • Thanks for the morale booster. It is possible and I know I wouldn't be where I am toda without the support from MFP. Keep up the good work

  • Welcome to MFP. You will find a lot of support here. Follow the recommendations for food and excercise, stick to it, and you will be amazed at the transformation. I myself am not an exercise person, but I managed to find 2 kinds of exercise I can stick with, swimming and walking, so I alternate them and I don't feel so…

  • Way to go! I just LOVE that feeling. I had it myself last weekend. I haven't shopped in regular clothes stores since 1992 and last week I went to Penney's and fit in a womens size 24. I was shocked. I know 24 seems big, but when I started this quest last fall I was a womens size 32, I about fell on the floor. I didn't want…
  • I stop when I am full, even if I'm not done with my meal. I then go in and adjust the calories. I don't always end up eating all of my calores, but I'm still losing. I hate that stuffed can't eat one more bite feeling, so I avoid it and just stop. I do save the leftovers and if I am feeling hungry in a couple of hours,…
  • That's awesome! Keep up the good work, it'll get easier and easier each time you do it. Hang in there. You're on the right path.
