Actually the heart rate monitor does just that..........it monitors your heart rate to give the most accurate reading of how many calories you were burning DUE TO your heart rate. Of course it's more accurate than MFP.

I'm 4'11" and I eat 1050 per day...................I'm losing weight. My maintenance calories are only 1400, so to do 1200/day would take a long time to lose weight. We're sized more like children...lol.....I don't think I NEED 1200 calories per day.

I think you should start it with 5lb weights. If you can do it with 5lbs no sweat.......then try your 8lb weights. There are some hard moves.....like the squat when you pull up your arms to a V..................pretty difficult if you're not used to working those muscles.... and who is really??? Good luck!!

I'm making roasted chicken, sweet potato mash (which I'm making tonight so I just have to throw it in the crock pot tomorrow to reheat) and then we'll have steamed green beans and a nice green salad.

I like to dice (or french fry cut) and roast mine in the oven tossed with a little evoo and some chili powder!! YUM!!!

What's more shocking is the 1/2 cup, 3/4 cup, 1 cup measurements are STILL not the actual servings. For instance, my Grape Nuts Flakes say 3/4 cup (29g) is a serving. 3/4 cup is usually closer to about 37-40g...not 29g. I also use my scale for cereal now, because the cup measurements aren't correct.

I understand what you mean, but 5'6'' seems tall to me. I'm only 4'11'' so even a difference of 10lbs can be quite noticeable. EDIT: I just realized that you're male. My husband is only 5'5" (he says 5'6'' lol) and he has always had issues with his weight.
