When I started working out all the time, lots of high impact stuff...I was having major knee pains. I started taking glucosamine and chondroitin supplements and I no longer have any knee pain at all. It can't hurt to try. Good luck!

LMAO!! Too funny! I hate mom jeans! I also hate crocs...ugliest shoes ever, hate the whale tale.........I'm guilty of have a smoke or two when I go out drinking. Mind you, that only happens like 2-3 times a year though. And I agree...what's with the giant stretched out holes in your ears??? Why???

Well, he definitely needs to be eating more than 1200 calories per day. My husband is of similar stats and we try to keep him at 1800 net. Good luck on your journey.

1/2 cup of cooked brown rice is only 109 calories with a full cup only being 218. While most pasta is only 180 calories for 2oz. You should really check your numbers, before you make comparisons.

Sweet potatoes, brown rice and whole grain pasta are much better for you than their white counterparts (this includes bread also). Moderation is the key.

Yeah, I with some of the other posters.....is it really that bad of a habit? If you choose something low calorie and healthy...what's the big deal? Just save yourself some calories or work out an extra 20 minutes for that snack. Hell, sometimes I will work out for an extra hour on days that I just feel super hungry to…

It depends on the food. Meat should be weighed raw, but a potato...again I think you would weigh it raw because cooking it doesn't add any calories unless you're dousing it with butter. I measure most things before cooking, because more often than not cooking add water.

Hot tea works wonders for me. (drinking one as I type). When I'm feeling a craving, I make some. It's hot and takes a while to drink and usually kills the craving...if not, I make another cup...no harm. Those 100 calorie snacks just look like a mean tease to me....I would be left wanting more, but that's just me.

Yeah, there's also Boca. I have Boca burgers for lunch some days. In fact, I had that for lunch today also, because my daughter was eating more of my food than me and I was still hungry!! lol Very yummy with a toasted deli flat and a dash of BBQ sauce.

There are other sources of protein besides meat. I don't eat beef and rarely eat pork. I have several meatless days per week and I am usually over my protein goal.

Yeah, I got mine while I was breastfeeding. So I hadn't yet had a period....I haven't had a period since Oct. 07!! The cramps can be awful sometimes, but I figure it's the trade off for not having a period.

I've had the Mirena since Fall of 08 and I've never had any side effects at all except occasional cramping. There is supposed to be such a small amount of systemic hormones that it shouldn't affect weight loss. It hasn't for me or anyone I know that has it.
